Try and farm a bit of every vegetable/fruit every season. And make sure to always keep a backup of one of every vegetable/fruit :)

all kinds of berries are very profitable, but plant everything you can, just more berries but not only berries, the more diversity the easier it will be to complete quests.

don't sell everything. leave few copies of anything for later - again for quests and festivals.
