Just wondering @_@

Hey everyone, one thought came up on my mind so I wanted to share and hear what you guys think.

So, some of you know that Guild Wars 2 is going to come out in the end of the summer. Some of you have already preordered it ( and played betas & stuff - I'm really jelly for these people :P ), some still wait to buy it in shops and etc. I've already preordered it (in a shop so no betas 4 me :c), so i was wondering about 2 things: who's gonna get it and will be people giving it away here (as a key, but I think it's not steam game, so that's why I'm asking). Thanx ;P

I won't and it doesn't look like it's a Steamworks title, so keys can't be given for that game

oh so that's basically the thing that if the game isn't connected with steam anyhow it is not going to be here either?

I don't see why not. Guild Wars 2 is one of the most anticipated titles of the year, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes to Steamworks. Hell, the even the first game is on Steam. Its a new title so few will give it away when its released. Yeah I'll be playing.

If it does come on steam, it will be at least a few years after it's release. The game doesn't really need steam's advertising + they have to give valve a % of the sales from steam. So it will be a while if it comes to steam at all. Guild wars came on steam 4 years after it's release. So GW2 will come on steam when the devs see that sales are not increasing.
