Should I open the window before or after I flush my turd?

Open it as you enter the bathroom, do the hard work in the fresh air and make sure that any 'in progress' odors are dispersed.

Depends on what you want to accomplish and on the difference between inside and outside temperature.
You don't like the smell, open it before and let the air circulate.
You want to get rid quickly of the smell and there's an appreciable temp difference, open it after.

It really depends where the window is, so if you can reach it from your toilet seat - you should open right after the last part of your first browny leaves your body. +/- 1 second, but try to be sharp.

Now, if you can't reach the window from your seat, you need to position yourself next to the window and start pushing while standing up - so just before you push it out, quickly open the window and do a running-sit-dunk (360 no scope if possible - not a requirement, it's just more fun that way) on your toilet.
