The graphics? The story? The gameplay? The complicated system like Baldur's Gate? The atomosphere the game creates?Or 'I just want to join multi-play game and shoot'?

exploration is the most important thing for me. i can enjoy games like arcania or risen which are all pretty poor (animation, combat, dialogues, voice acting, story *facepalm*) because they have huge worlds filled with secrets and a lot of stuff to discover.

You'd love Daggerfall or the first seven Ultimas then. :)

Depends on genre. Normally gameplay, then writing+design, but it can switch up. Graphical quality doesn't really bother me, but the amount of investment put into the graphical engine/assets does. If it looks ugly, it rarely will be a good game.

story above all. a bad game can still be enjoyable if the story is good enough to compensate but even a good game can quickly get boring if the story's bad

Graphics, then story, then the rest :>
(Although 2 of my most played games don't have too amazing graphics / don't fit my style but the gameplay is awesome ^^)
