Being pretty much a stranger to Groupees, I find it weird how we are supposed to "build a bundle" when we don't have anything to build it with (as in no known games yet) :D

Yeah, this is why quite a number of people have a strange love/hate relationship with Groupees. Pre-order prices are usually super low, but you don't know what you will buy. On the other hand, a good bundle can make people angry if they skipped the pre-order.
Still, IMO, on average, they are a decent bundle site, but you need some good instincts on what to pre-order and what not. (Strangely enough, their Be Mines and Greenlight packs tend to be surprisingly good for their price.)

The pre-order is separate from the actual live bundle. If you pre-order, you get everything, so there is nothing to build. If you wait until after the bundle goes live, then you can choose the games you want, usually with a 2-game minimum. The trick is, once the bundle goes live, if you wanted to get all the games, it will be more expensive than the pre-order, usually at least twice as much. Pre-ordering is a gamble that the value of the games in the bundle at that price will be worth more than waiting to get them later. For example, after the bundle goes live, often, the minimum is 2 games at $0.50 each, so that's a minimum of $1.00. If the pre-order is only $1.50, then many will feel it's worth it to pay an extra $0.50 to get the whole bundle and be done with it.
