It's nice we can hide games we actually don't want. But way it works now is too inefficient and heavily inconvenient.
Proposed change: After clicking on the hide icon the game is hidden without confirmation dialog (when I misclick, I can fix that in manage list settings) and without reloading the page (less stress on servers).
This way I can ignore all 100 skin variants to some games without having to reload page and scrolling down several pages every time for every of them.
My ideal use case is that I would check all games on giveaway on steam and then either enter the giveaway (when I want them) of hide them (when I don't ever want then} and see only new and potentially interesting giveaways. All with just two clicks (steam link + hide / enter).

Don't care

There's a GreaseMonkey / TamperMonkey script that basically does that - http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/c1xhr/userscript-improved-game-filter

There is a small icon next to a giveaway's name on the overview page. With that you can hide a specific game. It's to the right of the steam icon, both being pretty greyed out so you might have missed them at first.

You can later find your hidden games via http://www.steamgifts.com/account/settings/giveaways
