well I have a similar computer with g31 / g33. all you need is a video card, I have a HD5450 (not the best in the world, but it serves) of course you can get a best video card (or worse) obviously it depends on what you hold your machine.

15 years old? Nope, Core2Duo E4700 released 8 years ago. I would suggest 2D adventures and rogue likes like Blackwell series and any other adventure game developed or published by Wadjet Eye Games, UnEpic, Dungeons of Dreadmor, Binding of Isaac. I think you can run any old school RPG from Spiderweb Software too. Your cpu isn't that bad, if you had a dedicated gpu you could run more games.

Far Cry 1 (2005).

I had a laptop with dedicated graphics and an i3 at 1.8 GHz yet it ran Far Cry 1 at 45 FPS. Far Cry 1 is either 5 or 10 dollars and since it's quite old it can run on any PC's nowadays. I have to warn you however that it is often referred to as one of the hardest games of the 21st century. The plot is not that good but if you think of it as an 80s action B-Movie then it's not that bad.

Also, the levels are linear and it has almost nothing in common with modern far cry games.

I really recommend the game, and in my opinion it is an amazing hidden gem. I hope you get it.

to clarify the whole situation: why can't you upgrade/buy a new pc? just curious.

Thanks for posting your system specs. The major bottleneck would be the integrated GPU. Upgrade that and you will likely be able to play a lot more games.
