I'm adding my voice to that of eeev and JohnWickTheQuick because I can't get used to the new sorting order for the All option and it's bugging me a lot.
I'd love for there to be an option to sort all giveaways by their end date, just like it worked before, unless there are performance or technical implications that make it difficult to implement.

I'm not proposing to change or remove the current options, only to add a 3rd option to make it work like it used to before.
Sometimes I like to revisit recently ended giveaways to check up on comments, to see who won or how many entries there were. Apparently, a few other folks think that it's useful too. I don't see any harm in adding more options.

Because it's hard to find the one giveaway you want to check up on in the current "All" tab, since it's sorted in a weird way

Since the thread's been bumped I'd like to request again, backed up by other people's wishes to please bring back the sorting of ended giveaways like it was before. There's something missing to this site for me since it's gone, since it's such a hassle to find old entered giveaways now.
Can't be that hard to implement, since that's how it has always been.
PLEASE!

if you use esgst extension you can sort ended giveaways loads of ways like number of entries, date - etc,,,,

Here again to request that you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the old way ended giveaways were sorted. I really miss the clean overview it gave me. The way it is right now is a mess!!
Please. Can't be so hard, can it?? Just the way it has always been.
Please add this option.

Actually, eight months.
I'll keep requesting. I can be stubborn.

Hi eeev, it's not necessary to keep requesting the same change. I'm aware a number of people would prefer the entries sorted by the giveaway end time, but there doesn't appear to be a great solution to make that happen. I spent a couple of hours this morning experimenting with potential ideas, but I couldn't find any without significant trade-offs.

Hi cg, thanks for finally responding to my requests.
It's kinda of hard to understand for someone who has no iea about coding why it would be difficult to implement something that has been there before. Can't you just revert it, while adding the change you made back then?

It's easy to implement, the challenge is ensuring it loads quickly for everyone. I changed it because the previous solution was no longer performant, and it would take over a minute for some users to view the page.

It wouldn't affect the performance of other options, however, it's not a great use of server resources. I think the only decent compromise would be to change the "Open" page to "Recent", and have it work similar to the old page, but only include entries from open giveaways and giveaways that ended within the past 30 days (sorted by end time). If you wanted to view other entries, then you would need to use the existing "All" page, that's sorted by the time of the giveaway entry.

Thinking about this a little more, it should also include some of the latest giveaway entries from the user. This way a user that enters fewer giveaways or has been inactive for a while will still see quite a bit of content on the "Recent" page, instead of it being nearly empty or blank.
So, I'm leaning towards having the page including the last 1,000 giveaway entries from the user, along with entries from the past 60 days. Since giveaways can be open for up to 30 days, this means the page will show all of a user's open entries, any giveaways that have ended in the past 30 days, and at least some giveaways that have ended between 30 and 60 days ago, depending on the entry time.

Excuse me, did you already change it? Because it's the same jumbled mess as it was before for me.
Maybe I can explain what I like about before. It used to be that you would see all the giveaways you entered, and after those came the ones that had ended in the order of time they had ended.
Now I have the option to choose between seeing only the giveeaways I have entered, or "All", but selecting that places the ended giveaways seemingly randomly between my active entered giveaways. I cannnot see a system or order in this, nor do I find it helpful. I always have to go look around and search for a particular giveaway that has ended somewhere in the list, instead of them being in chronological order and being nicely detectable at the end of my active giveaways,
To be honest, I have no idea what you were thinking when you made it that way. How is this sorting supposed to make any kind of sense?

Hey eeev, I didn't make any changes yet, but I"ll have it updated and post an announcement sometime in the next 30 days when I have a bit of free time.

While you're here, it appears that deleted giveaways continue to count against the total giveaways you can have active at any time. Maybe a thing to look at.

That's on purpose, to prevent a user from spamming the site by constantly posting and deleting giveaways.

What about when a user sees no region restrictions when creating giveaways, but then it turns out there were actually region restrictions and has to delete them? For example.

luv ya tons, cg.
this looks to me the perfect comment to say sorry, cg.
i could imagine that's not easy, meeting all our requests and expectations, and i have been too harsh, requesting mines.
but this also shows all the love we have for this little site of yours. of ours :P

In the view filter of searching for similar giveaways where we select "All", "Coming Soon", "Open", "Closed", "Deleted" you currently have:
"Available"
"All"
Can you also add a third option:
"Unentered"
Where we can see the "Open" giveaways that we did NOT enter yet? Or to see which closed giveaways we did not enter?

There's been a few updates to the site today.
One change you'll notice is the entered page containing your giveaway entries has been split into two sections, Open and All, for performance reasons. The page will now load far quicker for anyone with a high number of entries. These sections can be accessed using the dropdown in the top right of the entered page. The Open page will display all of your open entries, ordered by the end date of the giveaway. Similar to before, this will allow you to see what entries are ending next, and if you need extra points, you can remove entries from giveaways further down the list that are not ending for a while. Then as the name suggests, the All page will display all of your giveaway entries, ordered by the time of entry. This will be useful if you accidentally enter a giveaway and need to quickly find your last entry. The page also displays the number of points beside each entry now, since I've seen users request that feature a number of times.
Other updates to the site today were also to help improve load times. All pages across the site will load about 50-150ms faster, so it'll feel a little more responsive when you're browsing.
