Now we wait for all the open giveaways I've entered to end, and (hopefully) reap the benefit. Singular.

I wish you well, but I should probably warn you that you may be disappointed.

Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer. Not a trace, of doubt in my mind.

The problem is that that statistic is a retroactive examination of every GA you entered. How you figure out the odds of winning currently running GAs is a little different. I actually built an excel spreadsheet that does a calculation automatically after you copy-paste the table from one's 'View Entries' page of one's chance of winning at any given point, based on a simple formula.

P(w) = 1 - ∏([n-g]/n)

Where P(w) is the chance to win -at least- one GA in the set, n is the total number of entries in a GA, and g is the number of game copies offered in a GA. Of course this only tells you your chances given current data. The number of entries in every GA is likely to go up after you do the calculation so your real chances will be somewhat lower.

Ironically, it's kinda good illustration to the word "believer", because you obviously don't have any idea how statistics and probability theory work.

Why did Sally fall off the swing? She had no arms.... knock knock. Who's there? Not sally. What did Sally get for Christmas? No one knows, she couldn't open it. Why didn't Sally hug her dad? She didn't have a dad.
