It's not like it's a big AAA company we're talking about nor will an added language turn into significant monetary profit. It's simply reaching out to the community to help consumers which is something that should be encouraged. There was no heartbreaking story and there's no bs about him caring about making the game better, maybe you should try being slightly less cynical about game development. Nor did I say he wasn't monetising it... Of course he is, I said the profit was insignificant. Which it definitely is, extremely few people buy games on Steam only because it's in their native language. I wasn't complaining, it was a sarcastic remark partially for humour and part as previously mentioned to frown upon the attitude (not that he didn't want to do it that's perfectly fair.) As for proper professional translations they should obviously require salary. Localisation isn't required he could've just ignored it completely... It would honestly be stupid of him to hire professional translators for what would likely lose him money. This is obviously the better option for everyone involved, the customers get an improved product and those wanting to help can do so (for some reward so it's not even free labour.) What bs line? The difference between professional and voluntary work is massive both in terms of quality control and monetary value... So basically the foundation of your argument is that doing voluntary work is silly? That's what it's sounding like and if that's the case then I guess we just have fundamentally different views on the matter.

It's rewarded so it's still not "free". It's obviously not professional work do you even know the meaning of the word? If he somehow has ulterior motives it still doesn't change the fact that the product is improved for customers which I can't possibly see as a bad thing. And since you still don't seem to understand it people are helping because they want to. They're not being screwed over or abused in some way I really don't understand what your problem is. There is absolutely nothing bad about this whole thing... Everyone either gains from it or loses nothing, whether it's monetary gains, a token reward, or simply just the satisfaction of helping other people. If you still have issues with any of this then I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree because we clearly have opposite opinions on this subject.

On the top of the screen you have total score, last match/combo score and the best match/combo score. I haven't checked out the whole conversation but would recommend to add some none standard languages, too. For instance Catalan and Welsh are only two of various European languages that spring to my mind. Add a bigger variety of Asian languages and while many African may still understand French, English, Portuguese, or German there is a BRICS country in the south where Afrikaans is spoken by many people. Not to mention many African languages of which I can't find a single one. Just give those native speakers also a chance to contribute, not only the Western ones and big sales markets of Asia. You're asking the community to help... let these people help, too.

You should know some things. For phrases, please translate right part (after "
|"), not left part (however I can edit it myself, no problems).
