Another CoD ... won't get better. Ever.
Just look at the soldier's textures or the effects on the screenies. As I said. Won't get better. Ever. CoD stays CoD ... 4/5/6/7/8/inf//
But someone said they got new staff there now and I mean, it has Quadrocopters. Maybe this one could be even worth pirating.

Why does everybody complain about Call of Duty? Sure, it's not innovative or groundbreaking, but it's a solid, well done FPS series. Obviously its good enough for millions of people to keep buying it.

Because their release schedule is shit, their games are dropping quality rapidly (FFS, look at the mess BlOps and MW3 became) and because they are as overpriced as a three-titted hooker while offering almost nothing but "Oh, wow, this gun shoots one extra bullet a minute" in each game. Modern Warfare was the last solid, well done game in the series that I have played.

Okay, just to pick one example of why an annual release is fucking stupid (beyond the rushed development period (one and a half years at most for a AAA game? No. Just no)), do you remember the worry that Left 4 Dead 2 would split the community? Now imagine that every single year. If you don't care about potential community splits (god knows why anyone would for this series) then let's lead into point two.
Call of Duty is, by far, the most stupidly overpriced series on the market, for every platform. And then, multiple fifteen dollar map packs which offer mostly reruns of the previous game. It's too fucking expensive to last. And now they've made a subscription based system? That's going to end well.
Oh, and my god, they added One Flag to this game! When will the revolution stop?

Most people I know get bored with their games in a year. The yearly release feeds the customers a new game to play. There will (almost) always be people who prefer the previous game or don't have the money to get a new game, so there will still be players on the previous game.
I realize the map packs are overpriced. I realize that the Elite subscription is a ripoff. I was talking about the main game itself. I hate the Elite service. In defense of it though, a great deal of its bonuses are free.
I never said the game was revolutionary...

If you're talking about the main game itself, then where's the new stuff? There is not enough to justify a £60 price tag for a four hour campaign and two new multiplayer maps. That's called an $10 expansion pack at best. If you made me play MW2 and 3 side by side without telling me which one, I could not tell you which was which except for one fact: MW2 didn't have spawns nearly that shit. If people are getting bored with their year old game, releasing a clone of it is not the answer.
