There aren't any guarantees when buying from unauthorized resellers. If you're looking to save money through any means necessary you may as well pirate it. Otherwise you should buy from authorized stores or trade for it.

Some people wish to save as much money as they can, but don't pirate [games] due to moral principles

It's kind of similar to pirating though, since none of the money is going to the dev/publisher through these unauthorized sources.

The pirated version doesn't cost the developer anything. Some keys from unauthorised resellers were acquired then the buyer issued a chargeback on the transaction.. This costs the developer money. So please tell me how an unauthorised reseller is more moral than just pirating the game.
Or lets try a selfish argument. The pirate version will keep working. Stolen keys that find their way onto unauthorized resellers can be revoked., meaning they will suddenly stop working. G2A is one of the places that has had keys revoked

did you actually bother reading that thread?
while G2A tried to resolve all issues, others were just trolls
Funny that..

The point was that if you're going to be illegitimate, pirated copies are typically guaranteed to work and it costs you nothing. If you want to be legitimate AND save money though then you're also going to have to avoid these illegal cd-key stores. It's not like they have the lowest prices anyway. There's only so much they can do with their botting/sweatshop/scam network.

how the hell buying the game is the same as pirating it!!?!?!?!, they took legitimate codes frome somewhere, they didn't creat them out of nothing, code is a code if they bought it cheap they can sell it with profit, end of a story. Following that logic the whole steamtrades site should be cancelled.

You're confusing traders with stores. Do you think you're required to follow the same rules as Amazon/Wal-Mart? Or vice versa. If Wal-Mart was selling a soap brand without permission from that company then they would be in violation of many laws. If you sold off your copy of Skyrim, you would not be. I hope you can process that.
And Luxy covered the other point. If you're not buying an authorized/approved copy from an authorized/approved reseller who was authorized by the owner of the product/IP to sell this in their store, then you're not buying a legitimate copy. It's that simple. Garage sale rules do not apply to 'official stores'. This has nothing to do with their user market but what they (G2A) themselves sell.

You're going off on something else here. The problem isn't what G2A considers okay for the users or the users themselves (they're only part of the problem). The problem is that G2A's products are not legitimate. As a user you can trade your products off. They are a store though and their large-scale ebaying is in violation of many things. Besides their other policies that violate EU commerce laws.
The people defending them have absolutely no idea what they're defending except "cheap games that (sometimes/usually) work". And none of them can think outside of that little box.

Region locks on g2a are kind of a crapshoot. You never know what you're gonna get.
I bought Resident Evil 6 Complete from g2a, and on the page it said "WARNING THIS IS REGION-LOCKED AND CANNOT BE ACTIVATED OR PLAYED IN GERMANY".
Despite that, I then activated the game in Germany and have been playing it for a while now - also in Germany. Works fine.

If you're buying from "G2A Selected Offer" then it's Global.
If you're buying below that ,from sellers, it can be anything.I'd stay away from that %97 seller, go for %100 dudes with over 500 transactions.

For what ive understand the shield thing works like some kind of teamviewer connection were they give you the code and see you claiming it. If the key isnt good they will refund you. Ive bought a standart uplay key without protection and everything worked fine. Guess i was lucky..
Thank you all for all the help and insights.

I have a couple of questions about the region locks on this 2 products im about to buy and perhaps there are ppl outhere willing to help me a bit..just to be safe, before i complete the order.
Can any of you guys confirm that this 2 products bellow will in fact work in my country (Portugal)? There are so many versions on g2a that im kind of lost if this 2 will in fact work. Some of them states that only work in some regions but this particular ones dont say anything.
