My blabbering from the creation of the first round:

Hello there. Before I start, let me get this out of the way:

Level 0+
Level 1+

There's a "first round" in the title because I can only manage to create about 35 giveaways at the moment, and I plan to at least double the number until the end. So I'll start with some little, low entry level, maybe not the best games to give away. But take a look, maybe you'll find something of interest.
When my GA slots free up again, I'll announce the next round of goodies. Those that come are a tad better games and I might set their entry level a little higher.
This is my first thread and first time creating a train. If anything's wrong please tell me or even give me some tips about fixing what I screwed up.

While preparing for all of this, I have made a purchase of a game that's not bundled with the purpose of giving it away here.
I'm talking about Mortal Kombat X. It will be posted here as well, later.
I don't have the game nor care about it enough, but I've seen it on the community wishlist scoring relatively high, so if I could, why not.
This is the first game not bundled that I'm giving away, and come to think of it, I don't really buy games unless bundled. Very rarely do I find myself buying a game even in sales, don't know if I ever bought one at full price.

I think bundles are amazing, especially for people like me with basically no income. Great way of getting good games at low prices. Sometimes not good, but okay. Sometimes awful. But hey, all are experiences nonetheless. :P
Most of which I buy are from Humble, but lately I've been a bit disappointed about HB's focus on store in contrast to bundles. Hope they fix that. They're not the only ones, though, so shoutout to all the distributors, keep up the good work.

I'm curious how many people do the same. Do you wait for years after bundles or huge sales trying to save every penny or do you buy a lot of non-bundled AAA games just to share with the community while sailing your yacht over the Pacific or something? :D
How do you guys manage your stuff (Steam purchases, giveaways, your wallet)?

I also want to take this opportunity to say thanks to all the awesome people here.
I started browsing the discussions not a long time ago, and while I found out that the SG community is not perfect, I think it's the best community I have ever been part of, it feels great.
Besides games, I've won a lot by being here. I wish to give a bit back.
Happy holidays to everyone!

My blabbering from the creation of the second round:

Here comes the round 2 train, with all the remaining games packed.
I suggest you go through all the giveaways, since there are random key drops in some giveaway descriptions. Tell me if you take any. Otherwise, start wherever you please and enjoy! Bump when you feel like it for others to see too. :)

Announcements and updates below.

TL;DR version:

Hello.
I'll post over 100 games here. (~140)
Some good, some okay, all from bundles. Except Mortal Kombat X & This War of Mine. Now also HL2.
Bundles are nice and I am poor.
Thanks guys.

I don't have much money, myself, so I look for deals all year long and stock up on non-bundled games I can find for cheap. Then I unload them in bunches, usually a few times a year, when I feel they have reached "critical mass."

That sounds like a nice way of handling things.
I did that too with these bundled games, as I've barely started with non-bundled. Thanks for the answer. Happy holiday season! :)

generally, i only buy games when they're "heavily" discounted (which is relative to the game, i.e. 30% off of a $5 game is comparable to 70% on $20) or are bundled - exceptions being games that look really interesting / those which i feel the devs deserve more than the change given them when bundling; alas, there are cases like that of Karma. Incarnation 1 which launched with a price of around $8 iirc and which i bought with Humble discounts (so paid $6.47) and has by now, barely over a month later, dropped its base price to <$1, which causes me to want to resume doing nothing but buying bundles and being patient. not to say those devs don't deserve the money, but to say why give them mine? pretty selfishly worded but i think (maybe)(almost) anyone who's been in that situation understands :S
at least i can say i haven't bought a AAA game for more than $30 (i doubt i've paid that much, even) in years - indeed, just be patient.
thanks, happy holidays and prosperous new year to you and yours

True, not everyone is packed with money. But to contrast people like us who many times wait for games to be bundled, there are people who donate A LOT when buying games/bundles and often buy games at full price because they can afford. So it's not that bad.
If you wait enough and check at the right time, you'll find many games in bundles. If looking for AAA games, the best place I guess would be Humble, though I don't really understand what the hell they're doing now... Even so, I think there are some games which will probably never go bundled or even be discounted under a certain percentage.
So, yeah, I do that waiting a lot too. Recently had some money to buy a bunch of bundles and discounted games, but I doubt that's gonna happen again soon. xD
Anyway, thanks for the reply and giving your two cents. Happy holidays to you too! :)

i think BundleStars might have the best prices on Warner Bros games at least, but they make terrible PC ports so shrug
so long as you're not after a CoD or any Japanese published games, there's a decent chance of getting AAA games for around $20 (eventually)(though CoD and Capcom games have both been in Humble Bundles too so is just a roll of the dice)

Yea. I didn't mention that, but I agree. BundleStars usually offers pretty good deals too.
To me some of their bundles feel overpriced sometimes, but in reality, when compared to the full price of the games, they're a steal.
Now that you mentioned that I checked their site again and saw some really good deals (like the Batman Bundle) and feel so tempted to buy something... Sadly I also have to eat. =)
