have you tried turning it off and on again?
search in the control panel for uninstalling
/search the file location on the drive (look for uninstall file)
/uninstall file on the start menu

try downloading the installer and reinstall Vbox, then remove it.

Are you trying to upgrade from VirtualBox 4.3 to 5.0? In that case do as Warl0rd says, but use the installer for the OLD 4.3.26 version for this first.

This type of error often happens when the installer (.msi) files for the old version get removed or cleaned up. Hopefully you can re-install the old version first, then uninstall it while the installer files are still present (if they're missing, the uninstaller assumes they were on a CD-ROM and prompts you to insert it).

Format c:\ , unplug your computer and stay away from the internet.

Did the re-install of 4.3.26 fail with a similar error? Or something else?

In the worst case you may need to do some registry hacking to make the new installer forget that there was ever an old uninstallable version there (and possibly delete the old version's files manually); this involves finding references to the removed uninstall files in the registry and deleting them, which isn't for the faint-hearted and is also dangerous (a mistake can make your system unbootable in the worst case).

There are registry cleaning tools out there, but I don't trust any of them much, except for maybe this (but be careful, still):

(Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled)[https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/mats/program_install_and_uninstall] [EDIT: oops, I don't know how to do hyperlinks here!]

Besides that, hopefully I've given you some information that might help you search for a solution.

So you are not the help desk...

Then why did Google tell me to find you for further help...

You say use Google and it always points to you,but you refuse to help

Google can be helpful, but you know what sometimes it can be about as handy as a one legged man in a ass kicking contest....Google is not always the answer,it just the answer for people like you who feel they are above helping someone so instead just moving on,you instead point them to Google which does not always provide the full answer either lol...

Then you find a forum to post for help and you get the same BS from people like you,use Google...lol it must be obvious you do not always use Google for help other wise you would know by now that you do not always find the answer you need...and sometimes it better to post on a forum where people might reply in help in a timely manner ....as maybe they tried the solutions on Google and still did not help so they seek out further help.

Maybe this person never used Googled, but then i would be doing what your doing and assuming what the person has or has not done.

Also remember that next time you need help with support do not contact them, use Google, they are not your personal Google to answer your questions.

Actually I just recently found a nice site where you'll find a solution for your problem for sure. While you're at it, you can also check this.

I see you're trying to update the program so follow these steps and you should be able.

Important: I hope you use backups and system restore

1- Download the installer (.exe) of the required version to uninstall, from http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds.
2- cmd (run as Administrator), then cd to location of executable you just downloaded.
3- Type โ€˜.exe -extractโ€™ (without quotes), where is the name (full) of that executable.
4- A messagebox confirms that installer files (.msi) where extracted on %temp%\VirtualBox folder. (You may confirm it by yourself, going to that location by winkey+r (run command), %temp%, enter (explorer opens), VirtualBox)
5- Run again the installer of the version you want to update to. This time it wont complain, as the *.msi files it needs to uninstall previous version are there on default location.

Also, remember that a tidy system works better than an untidy one, so sort all of your system files in separate folders after letter. So for an example if you have a file named "pirates.exe", place it in the "P" folder, that way your computer has an easier time finding it
