You can't reactivate keys on another account I'm afraid. As it's 50 games it's worth just keeping the account, and just switching between this and your main account.

The purpose is to make it easy for Valve not to bother and have you buy the game again if you're that desperate.
Key gets registered on 1 account > if the account(s) are linked to your source of payment/phone/real life ID its yours
on another account still - but why wouldn't one be able to have it transfered other than valve not having to bother + potential profit?

I contacted steam cause of the same issue years ago. They just tell you to use family sharing to play the games and don't care about anything else.

As it was said: use family sharing. I keep a bunch of junk and a few games that might interest me someday on my alt and just have it in a family sharing setup with my main.
Otherwise you cannot use a CD key again. Once they are activated, they are, in a sense, get destroyed.

Over the last 6 years I was accidentaly activating around 300 games on my account I am posting from, then last week I realised I own a retro 12-year old account with old HL and CS1.6 on it. Beat that.

farming cards, multiple gamers in same household playing at the same time (you cannot play on your main in Online mode when the other account is playing shared game) or wanting to play multiplayer/coop game together, alt account serving as "inventory storage" - there can be many reasons and it's not something uncommon. I myself have access to 4 accounts, my main, my fiancee's account, additional card-farming account and extra account I used in old days for items idling in TF2 which nowadays serves mainly as storage account with few card-games for farming (if game is already activqted on my main, fiancee and farming account).

the cap is 20 codes per hour ( or 10 minutes if u dont use them it once ), how came u activated 50 code without getting locked out and without noticing which account u are using them on? hacks or a bot? xD

no, i don't think so. there is an activation limit that has nothing to do with unsuccessful activation attempts. i thought it's 25/h. maybe it's 20, like Murtida says.

You're right, It's 25/hour. It drops for every few bad keys you enter during that hour, but no one knows for sure the algorithm.

I am pretty sure that's not true. I've had issues activating bundle keys when I activate 2-3 bundles at once, I got locked out about after the 20th key, as Murtida suggested. I don't think I've had an invalid or duplicate key inbetween, and I've experienced the lock many times.

You got locked at 50, Tristar above got locked on 15 he says, KA saying about 20-25 and getting locked, I didn't do 50 in a loooong time, but surely didn't got locked at 15, 20 nor 25 with IG codes few days ago. happened to me in the past (activated my win on my fiancee's account) - they don't care, they will simply tell you to use family sharing if you want to pasy this game on your main acct. In the end just bought the game myself to activate it on main ;)

I think so far Valve don't mind users having multiple accounts as that also works in their favor by boosting up the overall number of Steam accounts. You know, they brag about having 80 million Steam users (or maybe more already, idk) and probably use that data to attract publishers, and maybe investors of some kind too.

they won't. As many people mentioned in this topic already who contacted Valve about that (me included - I activated won game on fiancee's account, in the end had to buy another copy to activate on my own acct) they will simply tell you they cannot move games and will advise you to use Family Sharing if you want to play the games on your main.

Collectors tends to buy big batches of keys when there are some bundles or sales so it's not so uncommon to be activating few tens of keys at once (I for example bought all bundles during IndieGala birthday few days ago and ended up activating 20+ games in a matter of minutes). If you don't notice you're logged on wrong account I can see how a collector may activate 50 keys "by mistake" ;)

Fair enough i guess, i am extremely careful after the third time it happened to me (not that i often buy bundles and get most sparely from tremor, so no big batches), but maybe it is his first time.

steam has a family setting where you can have a couple of accounts linked to one. so you can play the games from other accounts. you can look into this I don't have much info on it myself. never needed it

on the other hand, it it was just cheap bundle games, it shouldn't be too much money lost. 50 bundle games don't cost that much. i guess the work to gather 50 games again from traders is worse than the actual financial loss. ^^
