It might be that the site admins don't want you changing your username in the first month of the new site. Thus, they automatically put in 11 months as the starting value for everyone.

That was actually done on purpose. If you registered over 11 months ago, the last modified time is 11 months. This way, no one can change their username for at least a few weeks. It'll give people a chance to update any bookmarks or lists they have referring to the previous usernames.

I wish it would just sync to your Steam name. This was my Steam name when I signed up years ago, but I don't use it anymore. I thought I was being clever and creating something unique, but apparently not because I've seen others use it at several other places.
