And what is that and is it bannable or fully allowed ?

You can get banned, VAC banned at the very least. Not worth the risk, especially with your reason for wanting your achievements locked again being mere boredom (as you stated in another comment). Not that any reason makes it a good idea to do dumb, ban-worthy things, just saying it's a big risk for such a small, simple reason.

You can only get VAC banned if you run a game that is running VAC at the same time as SAM, and if you do this your an idiot.

^^^^^^ ... use at your own risk though ... I have read that some guys got VAC banned for using it, don't know if it's true.

Ask Steam Support about it if you really want to reset it.

I'm really curious, why would you ever want to do that?? Usually people are striving to get achievements, not getting rid of them :/

No in fact just coz i am bored, i have a lot of games and a lot of achivements in most of the games i play a lot, however i find it fun to see them pop up and it is hard to keep track of certian achivements when you havnt played for a while.

If you reset them you start from square zero and can in fact keep track of it all ^_^

Well you have achievement pages for each game you play which lists them all and when they were unlocked. If that's not keeping track of them for you I don't know what is.

I know one from Dungeon of Dredmores forum, he accidentally got one achievement while developing a mod in debug mode. Now he want to get ride of it.

Give him something to work for maybe? When I have achievements to unlock in a game I feel like a I have a goal or purpose while playing. I got 100% of the achievements in The Binding of Isaac yesterday and I'm already sitting here going "well damn it, now I have no reason to play that..."

Maybe he got all of them for a game and now wants to work to unlock them all again.

Wow, you've all made some really good and valid points. I couldn't think of any reason at all for wanting to reset Steam achievements by myself :P

There is no way, support will also not help you.

Well seams like the program Steam Achievements Manager is the only way then :o however if you use it to grant yourself all achivements you get banned (ofc no brainer) tho no rapports about people getting VAC banned for removing all thier achivements.

No, you could possibly get banned for using it at all. If you don't believe me, go try it. With all your games. Especially Valve games.

S.A.M. If you're not in a multiplayer game (online) you can safely reset achievements and/or stats.

i think the best is ask steam support for do it, and try to insist, they allways give you a negative response at first but if you insist and be polite maybe they can open an exception... it seriously depends on the person who is answering.. or maybe they can't do anything...

well should be rather simple, just delete your steam cloud on thier server.

achievements are different from steam cloud... there are plenty of games wich don't have the cloud and have achievements..

steam should have a "reset" feature D: deleting everything you had on that game, like cloud achievements etc

Yea or ask a 5 USD/Euro fee, wouldnt mind paying that tbh, :S 700 games takes around a year +/- a bit to complete them all so yea xD 5 euros once a year to get everything reset would be nice ^_^

Not what you mean, but if I reset my stats on TF2, it resets all my unobtained achievements, if that makes sense. Like if I had 500,000/1,000,000 explosive damage dealt as demoman and I reset my stats, it would go back to 0/1,000,000. I screwed myself twice by doing this, making it way harder to get the grinding achievements. Too bad it doesn't reset ones you have (For you I mean. Thank god it doesn't do that for me)
