I am just curious of what the majority of users on here really enjoy or expect. That is the sole creation of this pole.

The reason Subnatica and Ark are in separate one is basically team size and management. Ark has a much bigger team which works on a schedule, while Subnatica has a smaller team that works when they have time.

Please no arguments of which game is better.

Which do you have more hours on?

View Results
Single person project (Aka Clicker Heroes, Spooky's house of jumpscares)
Indie Small Developer (Aka Subnatica)
Indie Large Developer (Aka Ark:Survival Evolved)
AAA (Aka EA, Sony, Microsoft, sadly Valve)

Not sure. I prefer AAA, but I mostly play casual clicker games on my tablet. Currently I'm also playing Crusaders of the Lost Idols and Transport Defender in Kongregate. When I "play" Steam games, I mostly sort out the crappy indie games.

It's a real mix. Per count, indie games definitely lead. I much more often see an indie game and want to try it out. But, per time spent, it's probably more even, there are a handful of AAA titles I've played a whole lot, and a number of those indie games get tried, but not played very much.

(Also, like TreeB said, I can run current AAA releases on my computer, so all I have for that is my 360. That is changing in month or so.)

I play indie games and AAA titles but I voted AAA as I spend the most time on AAA's.
For example: Spintires/insurgency/euro truck/a story about my uncle but also Grid, borderlands, CS GO, Sniper Elite, ...

AAA with way too much time spent on Borderlands 2 and Skyrim.

However, one of the major things I love about SteamGifts is that it opened my eyes to a ton of indie games that I never knew existed. Combing through GA's has gotten me into the habit of clicking on Steam descriptions and discovering what looks like a really fun games to try.

Consequently, my wishlist has exploded.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Mostly indie nowadays. Easier to get into and stop it, and this is better for my hectic gamestyle nowadays. (If I skip a few weeks from Fallout, Skyrim or something like that I better start over to again familiarize myself with the controls, catch up with the story etc.)

Of cource, indie - big and small projects. My notebook is top, but I don't see soul in AAA-projects.

Big Companies don't understand what a personality is.

That's not really true though. Check out Valiant Hearts (Ubisoft), Okami (Capcom), The Witcher 3 (CD Projekt), Bioshock: Infinite (2K) & VtM: Bloodlines (Activision). Games made by bigger companies that show a lot of personality (I was trying to stick with one per company, I could point to a lot more though).
