Um ... there already is a script that automates trains. And it does a whole lot of other fun stuff too. The script is called ESGST, aka Enhanced SteamGifts & SteamTrades. I've even been told it can make all comments on a discussion appear on a single page but I've been unable to figure out how to make that part work. I do really like the auto-expand all images option though.

I use ESGST but i didnt knew it did that... wich dont surprise me since i find it extremely complicated and convoluted. Once i got GAs appearing as a grid and the comments improvements i stoped trying to understand it.
I will try to give it a go, figure out how that part works. Now that you mentioned it i recalled some toggle on GA creation mentions train, but i always tought that just made multiples at once (like same end date, all invite only)- not the linking back-foward bit

Probably the only thing I hate more than making trains is scripts/extentions so I guess we're in a bit of a pickle...
