If you are from a region where the game is more expensive, I think you wouldn't be able to trade.

Where do you live?

Aski him to show gift first, if wil lshow you locked gift or no.

If he bought the game more than a few days ago (when the region locks came into place) but less than 2 or 3 weeks ago (whenever new purchases became untradeable for 30 days) you could well be alright.

These are similar. Hover over them and you'll see they're untradeable but thee's no mention of locks.

Saying he is going to buy it, I'd say skip it. I haven't heard of a bypass for the region lock unless you count the four packs, of which this isn't the case.

Edit - Seems this has a double pack under a special edition.

I traded with that guy earlier, there were no problems.

Double check and make sure it's not an impersonator. If you don't feel comfortable trading you shouldnt do it anyways.
