My roommate used a similar sized TV for his monitor, and I wanted to gouge my eyes out any time I got near it. You're just taking 1080p and stretching the shit out of it so bad that everything looks pixelated. Not to mention you need to sit at least 6 feet away from it to see the whole screen at once, so what the hell is the point when you could just sit closer and look at a smaller screen?

im not jelly, for some time i had a 26'' TV (a bravia too) and was too big for me to played with.
now 23inch monitor rocks!

but it also depends which type of games you play, distance, gamepad/keyboard+mouse, ... several things.

if you play on a living room with a gamepad you're fine, but if you play fps with a keyboard+mouse close to the tv youre f**ked xD

I have 19" and native 1360x768 but without any problem i can play in 2k resolution. Your tv is crap ;P

This is my setup, so no. HDMI cable straight into the TV whenever I want. Using a 40in as your monitor all the time is just retarded.
