But as someone else pointed out, Thor is a Norse god of fucking thunder and has Mojlnir, a hammer that can level mountains. Superman is just a guy from another planet with a few super-powers. We have a clear winner.

Not really. SSJ God is not included here, but if we are talking about "gods", he would have to fight Superman Prime. So yeah, Goku can't win with Superman.

Well based on the comics Thor loses his power and no longer can pick up the hammer after he hits his wife with his fist out of anger. Then he becomes a fat drunken lard ass who blames his father for putting the seal on the hammer. Then his son learns he can pick up the Hammer and he becomes the new god of thunder. Angry that his son stole his place and even more angry when he finds out Odin has chosen him to take his place as the next King Of Asgard. He sneaks in Odin's chamber during the odin sleep and kill's Odin and starts ragnarok Loki finds out about what Thor has done. Fueled with pure anger and hatred over Odin's death and what Thor has done. Loki finds and slays thor ending thor once and for all. To restore the balance Thor's son takes his place as the next king of Asgard.

Superman Prime, but yeah, anyway, it's fairly irrelevant; why would they fight as such?

By pinning a similarly leveled DC hero against a Marvel Hero, the DC one will almost always win. That occurs due to the differences between both worlds. Marvel is known for having underpowered heroes, and a less ideal world, while DC has all powerful heroes that keep everything going well almost all the time. So Superman would win. Even more so if it was the old Superman.

Ya, to Doomsday. Who is equal to or SUPERIOR to Hulk. Hulk can beat Thor or is at times equal to Thor. Superman should be able to beat Hulk (because Superman was able to kill Doomsday). Thus, Superman can beat Thor. ABC logic at its finest.
END THREAD BEFORE SOMEONE RETORTS.

Wrote a long paragraph about how there can be no "objective" answer to this sort of question, but really, my money is on superman. Several of his variant selves have had the most ridiculous exaggeration of powers to ever grace comics. He punches logic in the face.

Thor, Because he will just zap superman with his hammer.

I really don't know what the hammer is made out of. and no it's not made out of that :P

both super heroes are boring & bland characters.
they both fail

Probably Superman, he has bigger chances of winning. If you don't have kryptonite or use some incredibly powerful magic, you can't beat Superman. Thor indeed is a magic user, but it would still be hard for him to beat super fast, super strong sun-powered Superman. It depends on the situation though.

Lois Lane and Jane Foster telling both of them to sit down and behave like proper gentlemen. Now tell me you aren't picturing Superman and Thor pouting at a table next to their prospective wives/girlfriends.

I think Thor would win. Thor is a "Magic" God. Superman is a magic vulnerable, demi-god. Who do you think would win?
