The memory foam mouse pad really just hurts my wrist instead of making me feel more comfortable. I think it's time to viking funeral it and get a new one. I've got $10 extra bucks to spend on it. Any suggestions?

any of the ones steel series sells are pretty good, depends on your mouse to be honest. Some like a smooth surface others work better on a textured surface.

The reviews are pretty positive about this one, might get.

I have a smaller(and OLDER) version of that one and I really like it.

Reading reviews you can find mousepads that are a bit over-engineered, but in my experience, this one it's still somewhat good even after 6-7 years of heavy use, obviously not as good as when it was new but I don't have many complains.

I would look at SteelSeries or Razer. My SteelSeries 4HD only cost me $10. They have gaming quality ones, made from different materials, to match your mouse, preference, and style. Certain mice work better on certain surfaces, as do play styles. It all does come down to which you like best. I went with plastic, but I looked at metal and cloth ones, as well.

You can get away with any company, as long as you find a mousepad you like. I would pay attention to materials and reviews, though. People will usually say if something isn't durable or if they had problems with the way the mouse felt when it was being used.

This. I have a SteelSeries (9HD hard cloth one, slightly better at $35). It's fantastic.

That's what I'm using now. If you need a big mouse pad, this is the one to get, it's massive.

This is the one i use.
Razer Goliathus

Costs a bit more than you are asking for but it is a great mouse pad. Also has several versions each in different sizes.

+1 - With the Logitech MX518 (old school), Logitech G500 (lazer), or Razer DeathAdder gaming mice. Play hardcore gaming for hours on end, will last for 8 years+

Goliathus Omega Edition This is the smallest one, and is still about 1.5 times the size of a standard cheapo mouse pad. Amazon is couple bucks cheaper than the Gamestop link.

NSFW, but -extremely- comfortable. Great wrist support for your mouse hand, and I assume it also suggests things to occupy your other hand.

That is anti-guests and also doesn't help to concentrate on the aiming.

I just put two layers of a small, thick towel, about 6 inches square when folded up, between my wrist and the pad. Zero friction, plus sweat absorption during the humid fall months.

Am I the only one who thinks mouse pads are useless? They were made for old mouses that had a ball underneath, but now we have optic mouses...

You get much more consistent tracking with a mousepad. Helps slow the wearing down of your mouse feet too

I'll definitely consider this one, seeing as its only 7 bones at my local shop.

Are there any relatively cheap aluminium or metal mousepad?

I don't like cloth mats because it's slow and as for plastic, it wears out very quickly like cloth.
