Like for example, on SteamTrades (which links here and has similar design, not sure if they're affiliated) people sometimes have huge "I have" and "I want" lists.

Populating our own "I want" lists seems simple enough w/ some kind of tool to convert a steam wishlist into a text list (though I'm not sure how to automate that, has anyone wrote a script?) while populating our "I have" list would need to be done manually based on duplicate/disinterested keys we have on hand (ie these crazy 20-game fanatical grab bags)

Searching for a particular game is easy enough (see who offers it) but the tricky part is narrowing down which of those people trading the game are interested in any of the keys I have, or maybe more broadly, who have said game in their library.

Like the ideal would be if I could auto-prune my "games for trade" list to first subtract games a trader already has in library, and then to emphasize, out of the remaining games, any in particular they have wishlisted.

The main thing though is just a way to easily compare their 'want' list with my 'has' list to see what overlaps, as a means of constructing an initial offer.

Does anyone have experience with scripts, for example, to perform that task?

https://barter.vg/ was created with this exact purpose in mind, but it's used for much more than that nowadays.
Just be careful with your first offers, since as a new user you usually get assaulted with a bunch of unfair offers from resellers. Most of the regular users use gg.deals' lowest prices to estimate the value of their games, but you can of course trade in whatever matter you like the most.

thanks, looking into this now, seems I heard of it before and registered but didn't complete the process of posting my alphabetized master list

Hi, thought I'd respond here, rather than keeping that necro thread active.

One of the many reasons for being blacklisted could be all your open threads, also that many are complaints about a site for which you've up till now only been "leeching" (only expecting to win stuff - not giving anything back to the SG community).

Once you gain a few levels by giving away a few games, then people might take you more seriously.

I would recommend closing all you open threads (use the big button up on the right next to the thread title.)

Hope this all helps.

EDIT: below is an example of someone receiving a blacklist. This guy needs to chill out. He's often argumentative just for the sake of it.

I'm only just now noticing the ability to change "open" to "closed" on the top right now that I'm prompted to look for it, thank you for pointing that out to me. I'll go do that now.

I basically was donating games on IndieGala and got upset when I realized so much of it was bots, so it's not as much a lack of generosity as being paralyzed w/ indecision on how to make sure it's not going to some reseller.

Now that I've found Playing Appreciated I'm hoping I can correct this.
