123 Kick It
(Edit: Apparently I'm unintentionally trolling with this one... didn't even realize the lone achievement isn't even achievable anymore.)

Scribblenauts are easy, but there is one that takes ages to complete. You would have to play the game for at least 20 hours to complete.

Which one is that? I played about 14h and have 100%

I've played for 17h and I still only have 77 stars out of 106. Also, It takes me a while to complete one of the levels completely.

Umm started playing Osmos yesterday, pretty easy and even a nice game..[ Only one achievement that is about a certain thing, took me some time to get it, other achievements are just for playing the game ] also was on HiB :)

That's one painful sentence that's going to bite you later on. Osmos might seem like an easy game at first, but I fuckin' dare you to complete it. I couldn't.

This is coming from someone who actually finished all BIT.TRIP games, save for CORE as of now. And 100%-ed Meat Boy on the xbox.

Off the top of my head: DLC Quest/Portal/Dwarfs F2P. I haven't got all the achievements in any of these games, but I know they're easy.

I think you'll find that the challenges in Portal are quite hard.

It's not so hard if you look at walkthroughs.

I do believe that achievements like this with specific date are supposed to be 'cheated' by the developers. Requiring people to play games during some family holiday time would be totally fucked up.

Permalink

Are you sure? Does it not depend on steam? And isn't steam independent when it comes to dates?

I don't know, just wondering

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Just go offline on steam and then change your date in PC. Then steam can't use it's clock and is forced to use PC's clock. Easy ;)

But can you obtain an achievement if steam cannot connect to some kind of database? :D

I wouldn't say Trine is easy to get all the achievements... This one with the final boss is really difficult imo.

Nah, you just need to know the route to go and you don't actually need to do any fighting. Only takes 3 minutes

This. I'm don't usually bother about completing all the achievements but after one run I had only one left to get the 100%. Really easy and the game is pretty enjoyable too so WIN WIN.

Well, I don't know why you'd want a game just for achievements, but...

Torchlight's achievements are easy, but take a while to get them. Portal's achievements are just easy, but might take you a few tries on the challenges. The Half Life games have very easy achievements.

they should add something that makes getting achievements fun.. I mean, PS3 has something like leveling (i'm not saying steam needs this system, but something should be added)

How long the following games took for 100%, no walkthroughs/hints/tips/anything:

Blackwell Convergence: 4 hours
Blackwell Deception: 6 hours
Blackwell Legacy: 5 hours
Blackwell Unbound: 4 hours
Dynamite Jack: 6 hours
Fortix: 6 hours
HL2: Episode 1: 9 hours (actually around half that seeing as that was two playthroughs, one from before it had achievements)

The final boss in Fortix on Impossible difficulty is a real nightmare.

If you play the level a few times eventually you'll get lucky and get the power up that freezes everything right near an edge. You can take out a chunk of the map with that and it's easier from there. Still a bit of a pain.

+1 this. I got the timefreeze by luck and split the map down the middle, capturing Xitrof and destroying/capturing all turrets.
