Hey guys, my mouse just broke and I need a new one for around $30-$40. I have my eye on A4tech Bloody V7, A4Tech X7 F3 or Trust GXT 152. Do you have any other suggestions or comments on which one of these is better?

Who'd spent $40 on a mouse?
Mine costs $6 and it's already 2 years old , perfectly working.

Just wanted to show that $40 is nothing...and since noone else as me sees my mouse/mouse-pad/headphones/keyboard its not really a show off ;) ...its worth every penny when you like it...

My g700 was about $60 on sale, worth every penny.

Same here. I've gone through a ton of expensive mice, and none have lasted as long as my $6 mouse from NewEgg.

I always think the same. 7$ mouse here and I have been using for about a year and a half.

Because if you don't spend that much on X and X works fine for how you use it...then everyone else obviously uses X the exact same way as you...

I have had at least 5 mice under 10$ within 2 years and they all died with the same problem - they eventually start doing random double clicks when you click once. For the money I spent on those shitty mice I could've got a good mouse that would last much longer.
I now use a CM Storm Xornet, which was 23$ and it's amazingly good, precise and has worked perfectly fine for over half a year now and I'm sure will last much longer.

Why would you cheap out on your main controlling device? You can have the best PC with the worst peripherals and you won't enjoy your PC as much.

I prefer the Logitech G100s or the Logitech G700. Both are perfekt mouses. The Prize is ca. 50.

+1

I went from an mx518 to a G700 and I feel even more attached to the G700 than anything.
It's a hybrid wired/wireless... plugged in it reverts to wired connection. Great dpi, lifespan, report rates, and is super comfortable. Enough buttons and settings and profiles.

I also bought a Gigabyte M9680X for another build - better than most for the price range, but nowhere near the G700.

It's not really the same mouse though. I have the G400 now, but they changed a few tiny things to the worse, which means I still prefer the MX518. The G400 isn't a bad mouse at all though, but since MX518 had been taken out of production, G400 was easily the next best choice.

G400s have better optical sensor and switch, but yes the color scheme is ugly

Eh better is debatable. The 4000 CPI and higher SROMs of A3090/variants have ridiculous amounts of smoothing applied. And some people prefer having angle snapping on which the MX518 has.

Also I bought a G400 and the mouse was put together poorly. The left mouse button was not attached firmly to the pressure sensor below and wobbled. I sent back my G400 twice, and all 3 I had received had the exact same defect.

Logitech eventually blamed me for having unrealistic expectations of their mice, their exact phrase was "what you call a defect". I was stunned by this, and havent bought anything from Logitech since.

Why would you spend 50+ dollars on a mouse. I am perfectly fine with my Perixx MX-1000 Iron

Why would you assume everyone uses anything the exact same way you do?

Did I say that? No. I am just saying my opinion that you can get a perfectly fine gaming mouse for CHEAP.

Exactly. For your use case, a cheap mouse is perfectly fine. However, not everyone uses their gear the exact same way you do.

I just received my Perixx MX-1000 today. It was only $20 but an absolutely wonderful mouse for many reasons. The software for configuring it is perfectly user friendly and in depth. It's got a great feel to it. It has 7 buttons and a scroll wheel and you can change what function each button does with amazing versatility options. It has 4 different DPI settings which are by default color coded by LED's on the mouse, but that is also configureable or removable. Where your hand rests on the mouse is bordered in metal so it doesn't stay hot. It has a braided cord that is not too short, is malleable and strong.

As others have said the MX518/G400 is a fantastic mouse for a great price. You should be able to find it for $40 every so often. I have big hands so after a while that one started to feel a little too small, but I'm an unusually large framed person (6'8") so that may not apply to you.

I got the CM Storm Xornet for 23$ and it's absolutely amazing. Totally recommend it to anyone who finds 5 buttons enough (I got a Logitech g600 being shipped to me right now, because I want MOAR BUTTONZ).

I've had the Xornet for ~2 years and been very happy with it. Unless you have small hands, it's a claw grip mouse.

You can usually get the Steelseries Black Ops II gaming mouse around $35-40. I'm pretty happy with mine. It has 2 thumb buttons on each side (although the pinkie side is unusable during gameplay for me) and a dpi toggle button near the scroll wheel. You can program 7 of the 8 buttons using the Steelseries Engine software. All in all, not a bad deal.
