Came out of posting retirement just to to ask this.

So I was out (of my mind) and was reminiscing about the game systems I have had in the past.

So, I got to be nosy and ask what gaming systems you had and what your favorite was.

I started long ago, in a galaxy far far away..... Sorry, what was I saying?

Oh yes.
I started with the old Atari 2600
Moved onto the NES
Changed to the Sega Genesis that came with the original Sonic
Switched to the SNES
Moved onto the Playstation
Then upgraded to the Sega Dreamcast
Finally, I ended with the Gamecube and have been on pc ever since.

As for Handheld,
Gameboy Color
Gameboy DS
Sony PsP
And, if any counts it, I'm now on Android

As for my favorite, I'd say the Dreamcast and the DS.

So, lets hear what you had and loved.

NES, SNES, N64, PS2, GBA, and Gamecube are what I had growing up. My family also has a Dreamcast, but we only have, like, 2 or 3 games for it, and I was never too interested in them. Later, I got a DS for Christmas, and my brother bought a Wii. Today, I have a 3DS and a Windows PC, and my brother has an XBOX 360, Wii U, and a Nintendo Switch. As for what my favorite is, I really can't say; too many good things about all the systems, especially exclusives.

uhm, quite a few.. I'll try to put them in what I think was the chronological order in wich I got them...

Super Nintendo
Gameboy
Sega Gamegear
Nintendo 64
Gameboy Color
Nintendo
Playstation
PC
Gameboy Advance
Gamecube
Gameboy Advance SP
Xbox360
Nintendo DS
Wii
Gameboy Pocket
Nintendo 3DS

Think that should be it. Like some people who posted before it's almost only PC only for me nowadays except from maybe a 3DS game here every so often. And yet in my heart I still feel like a console gamer. xP

Well PC for starters heh, also:

  • Some knock-off NES console
  • Wii

That's it :(

But my older brother did have quite a few:

  • Gameboy Color
  • Playstation
  • Dreamcast
  • Playstation 2
  • Playstation 3 (technically was mine as well since we split the money)

Also when my brother got the Dreamcast he gave me his PS1 (yay) bu it broke down short after (nay).

As kids, by brother and I asked my dad for a Nintendo. He found the TurboGrafx and got that, because it was 16 bits, not 8. (Nevermind the dearth of US releases.) We didn't ever get another console system, but we did get the TurboDuo upgrade. Ys was pretty cool. I still remember when our sister managed to be the first in our family to beat it.

I bought myself a PS2 in college. Nothing else since, just PC games.

Atari 2600
Atari 5200
Atari 7800
3DO
Tiger R-Zone
NES (model 1 and 2)
SNES (model 1 and 2)
N64
Gamecube
Gameboy Pocket
Gameboy Advance
Nintendo DS (original and lite models)
Sega Master System
Sega Genesis (model 1 and 2)
Sega CD (both models)
Sega 32X
Sega Saturn (both models)
Sega Dreamcast
Sega Gamegear
PS1
PS2 (fat and slim models)
PS3 (2nd model)
PSP (1st and second model)
XBOX (the original)

There's a bunch of other retro consoles I wouldn't mind having, but for the most part I stopped caring about console gaming once it became more complex then 'put disc in, play game'. I bought a PS3 back in 2010, but I never really enjoyed it the way I did older consoles.

Anyhow, for favorites...I really loved the Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast. Unfortunately I've played just about every noteworthy title on both systems, including JP-only imports, so there's not much left to do with them. SNES and PSP were also great, and have a few titles on both that I'd like to get around to playing one day.

In order of acquisition:

NES
PC
PS2
Wii
Xbox 360
PS3
GBA SP
DS Lite
3DS XL
PS4
Wii U
New 3DS XL

My favorite has always been the PC, though I still enjoy consoles. The 3DS is the console I've spent the most time playing, the Wii is the one I've spent the least time with, the PS4 is the one that most impressed me with its technical prowess and features, and the PS3 is used daily as a media / bluray player.

Only PC.

We were too poor to afford anything else. At one point my cousin gave me his Atari, I played mario and that game where you protect an eagle with tanks.

Do Soviet "Electronica" game systems (if I can call them that) count? They were Nintendo clones, if I'm not mistaken. And these are more modern versions, mine didn't have colored elements.

In order:

Commodore 64
Portable Tetris game (lol)
PC.

Never had any console, because it was too expensive for my family. Now I could afford all of them, but no time to play ;) PC is enough.
