Sega Genesis
PS1
Game Boy Color
Nintendo 64
PS2
XBox 360
Started playing on PC between the Sega and the Ps1, but stopped completely. After the 360 I went back to the PC and haven't tried a console ever since.
Although the Switch seem like a decent handheld console. Might buy one in a few years.

Low income, high taxes on eletronics and games on most of our history(Brasil)
I only ever owned a Snes
But the time i was thinking and saving to own a playstation and later playstation 2 i bought instead something i needed to study(and now work): PC.
When taxes finally lifted and gaming improved around here... i was already a fully converted and loyal member of the master pc race.
I did felt tempted for one or other console for some few exclusives but then... its too much a price for too little games(the few exclusives that interest me) aaaand i can't feel confortable supporting studios in their exclusive deals: what i want is for then to have lower sales and returns, get out of the exclusivity contract and see the diference in their sales.

Ah... had used atari 2600... then one of those little Nintendo handhelds from the late 80s with 1 game... then Handheld tetris thingy... then sort-of-NES, then PC, then PS2 alongside that same PC, then sold the PS2 and moved to newer PC and had only PC since.

Technically didn't buy any, but got a PS1 console package( games, ddr mat, peripherals and all) from a cousin who didn't want it anymore. Bought only the PS3 controller to play PC games, not the console :D wish I had waited longer cus then the PS4 came out soon but there isn't much difference in using them as a PC controller so oh well.
I used to have those toys with only one driving game on it, with wheel and gear shift controls, does that count? I absolutely loved it and played it way past the intended age.
Was always more interested in PC and phones than handheld games/consoles.

Came out of posting retirement just to to ask this.
So I was out (of my mind) and was reminiscing about the game systems I have had in the past.
So, I got to be nosy and ask what gaming systems you had and what your favorite was.
I started long ago, in a galaxy far far away..... Sorry, what was I saying?
Oh yes.
I started with the old Atari 2600
Moved onto the NES
Changed to the Sega Genesis that came with the original Sonic
Switched to the SNES
Moved onto the Playstation
Then upgraded to the Sega Dreamcast
Finally, I ended with the Gamecube and have been on pc ever since.
As for Handheld,
Gameboy Color
Gameboy DS
Sony PsP
And, if any counts it, I'm now on Android
As for my favorite, I'd say the Dreamcast and the DS.
So, lets hear what you had and loved.
