Since my parents never owned a TV and weren't fond of me playing video games, I never owned any console (and obviously I was the only kid without a gameboy xD).
Only in 2009 me and my brother put all our hardly earned money (we didn't have pocket money either.) from years of gathering together, plus some coupons, to get a Nintendo DSi for both of us.
As for the games, I bought several to a friend of mine for a few Euros and once managed to get my grandma go buy me Mariokart DS for my birthday.
TL;DR: I've owned a Nintendo DSi.

I've had the Magnavox Odyssey 2 and a Colecovision.
That's it. All PC since.

Nintendo 64 will always be my most nostalgic but I really loved the Gamecube a lot, even if it wasn't very popular. I'm going to be getting a Switch this month so hopefully it'll be as fun as the old Nintendo consoles used to be.

Might seem like i'm quite loyal to Nintendo, but in reality it's just because so many of the Xbox/PS games end up on PC that I've not really seen a reason to buy one of those consoles, while with Nintendo, you get more "unique" games, and many of them are good for couch multiplayer.

Came out of posting retirement just to to ask this.
So I was out (of my mind) and was reminiscing about the game systems I have had in the past.
So, I got to be nosy and ask what gaming systems you had and what your favorite was.
I started long ago, in a galaxy far far away..... Sorry, what was I saying?
Oh yes.
I started with the old Atari 2600
Moved onto the NES
Changed to the Sega Genesis that came with the original Sonic
Switched to the SNES
Moved onto the Playstation
Then upgraded to the Sega Dreamcast
Finally, I ended with the Gamecube and have been on pc ever since.
As for Handheld,
Gameboy Color
Gameboy DS
Sony PsP
And, if any counts it, I'm now on Android
As for my favorite, I'd say the Dreamcast and the DS.
So, lets hear what you had and loved.
