Does anyone know how I can play CSGO while farming cards? If I start CSGO, the process would be terminated.

And how to I farm multiple games per account? All my games have more than 2 hours already but it seems ASF farms 1 game at a time per account.

Yeah, ASF simulates you playing the game to get the card drop, it does one game at a time to do this. Steam only allows you to play one game at a time, so ASF has to wait until you're done playing to resume farming.

But in idlemaster, I can run it and play CSGO at the same time. It just sucks that idlemaster can't handle multiple accounts at once.

As far as I know ASF cant. Whats the reason behind multiple accounts? I always wondered why people do it.

considering how anal steam is about VAC bans, do you really want to risk it?

ASF simulates you playing the game to get the card drop

ASF doesn't simulate anything, ASF directly tells Steam Network that we're playing a game, through the same original request that legit Steam Client uses. This is totally different from IM approach which indeed simulates playing a game, by "tricking" original steam client into thinking that you started playing a game.

By using analogy, you could say that IM lies to your Steam Client that you're playing, while ASF tells your brother to launch second PC in your house and start playing remaining titles.

it does one game at a time to do this

Wrong, Complex algorithm can farm several titles at once, but people often misunderstand the advantages and disadvantages of using it, therefore I highly recommend Performance article on the wiki.

Ahhh ok, I stand corrected. I do love the program though. I set up an old netbook to run Archi on mine, my girlfriends, and sons accounts. Something an old Acer netbook is still good for ;)

Idlemaster still works. Have it installed and use it when you want to play a game at the same time as idling. When you're done playing, switch back to ASF. Simple.

As for idling mutliples, it doesn't work well, there is no advantage to it.

The reason why you cannot play CS:GO is because ASF is independent and does not trick the Steam client you're using into thinking you are running the game on your computer. It is another client idling your game, and each account's library can only be used by one client/PC at a time.

^ This is the most correct answer, and the one that guarantees being VAC-free and not interfering with Steam client, which should be MUCH more important for everybody compared to 0.1% extra card drop rate, which often results in 0.0% for majority of people.

Does anyone know how I can play CSGO while farming cards?

You could be playing several other titles in offline mode, but if you want to play CS:GO online, then answer is simple - you can't do that with ASF, for reasons @InuKaT stated above, together with my reply. And if you truly understand the answer, you'll be actually very grateful that ASF doesn't allow you to.

And how to I farm multiple games per account?

You don't, ASF knows better than you how to farm the most effectively. You can, however, provide some crucial variables for ASF which can't be guessed neither checked from the data ASF has access to, as described in Performance - this will affect chosen cards farming algorithm, as well as other logic.

All my games have more than 2 hours already but it seems ASF farms 1 game at a time per account.

Correct, even Complex algorithm will do that. As I said, ASF knows better. The more you dig inside, the more time you'll waste and the more you'll see how wrong you are. You can still farm in manual mode through !play command, but that will never be more efficient than ASF automatic mode, regardless what you do. Reading the wiki page I linked you above should answer why, but if you have any specific questions after reading that, feel free to ask - I'll answer and add to FAQ/page if needed.

Thanks. That was helpful. I'll leave it as it is right now.

Mmh, so that's why when I restart ASF (I don't leave my PC turned on 24-7) it sometimes starts to farm a different game from the one it was farming the last time? I kinda assumed that it just happened to choose a different one, but now I wonder if there's a reason to alternate games instead of farming them to completion before moving to a new one.

On an unrelated note, do people usually farm their main accounts? My obsesion with the time spent playing being as precise as possible wouldn't allow me to fake stats on my main, I sometimes close the game I'm playing instead of just pausing it when I go to the bath.
