Yea hamachi is pretty ghetto and out of date compared to better solutions. Tunngle, mentioned in other posts, is the best/most popular gaming community currently that incorporates a virtual LAN. I also recommend Evolve, It's the same as Steam's overlay or Raptr, but can connect you with any other players with a V-LAN too.

Tunngle is superior, however, it does not allow you to make your own lan sessions (to my knowledge) but instead you join lobbies for each individual games. Granted, most of the lobbies are empty so you can just claim one of them as your own.

So I need some help, bcoz I can't run hamachi for some reason. I've tried everything, reinstall, etc. but nothing worked. I think a windows reinstall should fix it, but that won't happen.
So could anyone help me out with this? I need a similar software to hamachi, which creates a vpn between 2 pc-s. Any suggestions?
