I didn't get into too much of Demon's Souls myself, but a lot of non-PVP areas are pretty dead. IIRC, World 4-1 still has a lot of PVP so you could try invading there. You could also try putting down your sign/invading in World 3. If you don't get matched with someone immediately there... well, try it for yourself.
But when I played it 6 months ago or so, I couldn't get too much PVP in non-PVP hotspots.

I've been trying in world 4-2, which every single time I used the Black Eye Stone, it started to connect me to somebody else, but in the end it wouldn't work.
I also tried to get summoned in world 3-3, as a blue phantom, and to fight someone instead of them fighting the boss. The same error occured, maybe I'm having a little bit of bad luck, but it's weird nonetheless.
I will try 4-1 and also walk around in Body Form to search for some summon signs and some possible invasions on my world.

its my understanding that they cut off the online portion of the game awhile back. i might be wrong but i remember them talking about this about a year or two ago.

Atlus also did get bought out recently which also might have something to do with it. Sega now owns them, which might have something to do with servers being down due to a change in management & needing the licence to get redistributed for the game to go online again. that might be reaching, i dunno. i stopped playing that game awhile back. i have yet to get back to it.

In that regard I'm not informed.
But I am in someway connected, otherwise I wouldn't be able to see other player phantoms, messages and bloodstains. It's kind of a deal breaker for me because the online is great, and also the fact that some friends of mine own the EU version and I can't connect to them.

Hi everyone!
I know this probably isn't the right place for me to be asking these questions, but I'm gonna go with it anyway.
So recently my Demon's Souls copy arrived, I got it from GameDealz at amazon.co.uk, and I'm having some issues with it.
I had played the game before (friend lent it to me), everything worked just fine.
Now it's different, I can see the white phantoms roaming around the world, I can see tons of messages on the ground, bloodstains, everything is well. Until I tried to invade/get summoned. The message that appears says that the session failed to work(?), and the loading screen doesn't pop up, I stay in my world like nothing had happened.
My internet is fine, I play Dark Souls on the PC (I know it's not server based) and tons of other games work just fine on my PS3 aswell.
Could it be that I live in Europe and my copy is actually the US version published by Atlus? Because the Atlus version doesn't work with Namco Bandai's version.
If this is the case, then why can I "access" to everything on the multiplayer, but I can't join other worlds or summon people to my own? Supposedly, the phantoms I see are all using the same version as I am, so I should be able to interact with them.
Any ideias?
I tried searching for some answers but I'm having trouble finding them, maybe some of you guys know what's wrong and can give me a heads up.
