I don't think that it's true. Amazon is a great company and doesn't need it. Buying using a fake US address is illegal in every or almost every countries, and that should be enough, don't matter whether their protection is very bad and can't ban everyone or not.

I swear I heard it somewhere. And I've contacted their support too, as I use my usual amazon acc (lots of purchased there) regarding those offers and I've been given no warning nor anything like that.

First of all that is is a buyer fault, the buyer shouldn't think he can do everything unless he gets stopped. Corporations aren't the evil. They care, I read someone here got a ban for fake address by Amazon. The problem is that they really have a poor protection system in this their new department. Sooner or later it will get fixed, I think.

I wouldn't be surprised if they started checking IP addresses in the future and/or selling more games region-restricted to North America. Dead Island GOTY and Inversion both recently had restrictions for example.
I'm not sure Amazon would want to have to deal with support issues from people who aren't supposed to be eligible for those products anyway and who might not speak English well (or at all).

Nah. Region restrictions are made by the publisher, and there are not many that do it for US copies. And I dont think they will ever check IPs. I dont think they really mind the extra income.

Register on the http://forum.cdaction.pl, then login and goto http://www.cdaction.pl/seriale/GT_Legends and you will recieve your key in your email, remove the "-" from the keys and active it in steam :)

All giveaways for games from CD-Action without prior approval from support will be deleted. Users who submit multiple unapproved copies of these games will be suspended for exploited keys.
GT Legends may not be submitted without prior approval from support.
Users may submit a ticket to support with proof of purchase of the game for approval. Adequate proof of purchase for keys from CD-Action would be a picture of the physical magazine edition that included the key with your SteamGifts username written on a piece of paper in the picture. If your key is not from CD-Action then normal proof of purchase will be acceptable.
