Hello everybody,

this would be a nice idea to motivate some people to make more giveaways and to filter the extreme leechers(and maybe second accounts) out of the pool.

Example:

I want to create a Risen giveaway. I want to make it public. But I don't want that everybody with maybe 0 giveaways is able to enter. So I set the "Who can enter" requirement to "Everyone" who made "5 giveaways".

First improvement: I'm not angry if somebody wins - because he is 100% no leecher (or not one of the rly bad ones - smurf account i.e.)
Second improvement: The guys who has less then 5 giveaways maybe make some more to enter the upcomming giveaways with this requirement.

What do you think?

That'd be pointless:

First, there's a private giveaway option, you can invite the peeps you want to participate in your giveaway instead of letting random dudes in, some people can make many giveaways and still COULD be as annoying as the ones you consider leeches, and people who made zero/a few giveaways can be as great as most honorable members of this community, giving away Gifts on Steam (or video-games-gift-subscriptions-on-the-computer-platform-steam), whether you bought them with your own money or got them for free, doesn't NECESSARILY make you better than the "leeches".

Basically Number of giveaways made =/= Kindness/decency level. This only applies in this situation, because the members who make giveaways are generally decent. On the other side, saying they are 100% no leechers /good persons doesn't apply to everyone.

This thread looked like it was going to get out of hand. I'm happy it did not, but my comment might go unseen or disregarded.

As we've mentioned before, the site is still relatively new and we're working out some new features. We consider all discussions and suggestions. I can't say for certain what will go live, but I think the community will be pleased.

What's the point of a giveaway, if you only award people who can afford it?
