Interesting?
Apparently, that's the case. Either way, it's still a good preview for anyone that might be interested regarding this game.

Thank you as well. I updated the post with the relevant info.

Ah, it's just a free weekend key. I rarely bother with free weekend games when they're not beta.
Still, thanks for letting us know. Some will be interested, I'm sure.

Sometimes beta keys remain in the library as the full version after release. Unfortunately this is not the case but it's still a nice preview of the game for anyone interested.

Updated the title. I'm leaving the thread open in case they resupply.

I didn't know that there were free keys for this game and just won a giveaway for it. Partially my fault for not reading the description where the guy actually says it's a beta key and not full game, like he'll get excused cuz he said it beforehand. I use ....can't remember what it's called but it's an add-on that lets me see the list of giveaways and click enter, enter, enter without painstakingly going to each page to enter.
So what do I do now? I already redeemed it (that's when I notcied it say "beta key" and I started researching) so in one sense I have to mark received, but it's only a beta so it will disappear from my Steam account eventually and then the SG police will nab me for not activating a game I won. So should I just mark it not received now to save myself trouble?

According to the guidelines:
Beta keys, guest passes, coupons, and free games should not be given away.
There are two options in my opinion:
Either ask the creator to delete the giveaway or report him for "Gifting Beta Keys".
Either way, for the time being you should mark it as "Not received" because you did not receive the full version of the game.
I'd first try to contact the creator and come to a solution with him but that's up to you.

My key just got revoked... almost 3 years later, that was one long beta ^^

Mine too. The funny thing is I haven't even got to play the game yet, haha, Anyway, kudos to them for keeping the beta key up for such a long time especially since the game seems pretty solid and isn't the usual shovelware by any stretch of the imagination. I guess the 3 in "AquaNox 3 for Beta Weekend" stood for a 3 years long weekend :).

I just got an email from PCGamesN saying they're giving away 10000 codes for Aquanox Deep Descent. The key I got redeemed as AquaNox 3 for Beta Weekend.
You don't need to do anything else other than clicking on 'Visit our homepage' and the code will be revealed. You can ignore any other requirements.
Enjoy!
Edit:
As per Kaluguin's comment, according to the developer, the key is temporary.
