So I read a bit on other topics in here that you guys recommend xbox360 controller, but what would you say about xbox1 controller? I'm just worried that because it's relatively new some games (that ain't that new) that support xb360 controler won't support xbone. Any thoughts?

p.s. do actually new games support xbone controller? or not yet? im just not informed about these things

Xbox One is supported in as many games as the Xbox 360, so go for the XONE. Will explain why I think is SO MUCH BETTER in a reply to this comment (it is going to be a bit long)

· The Xbox One controller is supported in every single game that supports the Xbox 360 controller (will need to install an official driver from here first).

· Controller is WAY lighter even with the batteries inside, and you can remove the batteries as well.

· Sticks are way less resistant to be moved, and they feel a lot more precise. Also, they are easier to press while not perpendicular to the base, which is nice.

· You will need a Micro-USB-to-USB cable (like the one you use to charge most smartphones).

· A lot better in terms of ergonomics, letter buttons require less pression to be pressed, the fingers wrap around the handler more naturally.

· Shorter response time.

· Force feedback is so much better.

· Triggers are more comfortable, the bumpers get some getting used to though.

· THE D-PAD IS NOW ACTUALLY GOOD.

all the old games will take the xbox1 controller as the 360 one, so dosent matter, new is better i guess.

I've got an Xbox 360 controller and it works fine, but I have heard the Xbone controller is a little better but is pretty much treated just like an Xbox 360 controller when it comes to the software.

I believe you need a bluetooth chip or something of the kin to use the X1 controller. I have an X360 controller, and it's good so far. Idid hear about microsoft launching some kind of patch for the X1 remote for PC compatability. Also, I'm waiting for the Steam Controller, that thing looks amazing

You only need a micro-USB-to-USB cable, like the ones smartphones use to charge with.

xb1 controller is wireless, right? how does it connecto pc?

It is both wireless and wired.

It can work wireless on the Xbox One, and also:

If you connect it to a Xbox One or a PC using any microUSB cable, it turns into a wired controller and you can get rid of any Batteries; making it lighter and not having to worry about recharging the batteries. Also, it reduces the response times.

I can confirm this is how it works because I have one, I have it connected to my PC right now at this moment. And Majornelson has stated they are working on a way to enable the wireless mode on PC as well.

No problem at all, glad I could help a bit. Keep in mind that you will still have to download the driver from MajorNelson's blog or some other official source; they haven't implemented into Windows automatically yet.

Isn't that the same kind of cable used for the PS3 controllers?

No, it is the same cable as the PS4 controllers; a microUSB

The one you were thinking about, the one for the PS3 controllers, is a miniUSB cable (it's a lot wider). So it wouldn't work with either the PS4 or Xbox One controllers.

I hadn't realized there was both a microUSB and a miniUSB. Man, the slot on the PS4/One controllers must be tiny. I'd be terrified of snapping it.

I use a wired 360 controller for PC and it works fantastic. Plus, its light as hell. Although, the Xbox Juan controller gets great reviews.

The Xbox One controller is A LOT lighter than it. Hell, I just compared those two (wireless X360 and wired XONE) and felt like doing weights with the X360. lol

But yeah, both controllers are easily one of the best I've tried for gaming.

The battery in the 360 controller really weighs it down, especially compared to the PS3 and wired 360 controller. The wireless 360 controller is best suited for throwing at the wall.

D-Pad is worse on 360 controller, Analog sticks feel worse on the Xbone.

The 360 controller seems more solid in the hands and is cheaper, really its up to preference though.

Just my opinion. They should both work with the same amount of games....

I have the Xbox One controller, you just need install this driver DRIVER, chose the x86 if you have SO 32bit and x64 if you have 64bit SO. After install that when you plug in the controller this must vibrate and the XBOX light on the controller turns on. Thats all. I use the controller wired, cause i havn't the thing to use it wireless, and don't think im going to buy any cause the cable included in the box is really long, and also you can use any other USB/Micro-USB cable.

Also, MICROSOFT is going to include in the next Windows 8.1 update a driver to use the controller.

Pretty sure it's automatic now. That was just for early access type thing, right?

Not until they are included in a future Windows Update, so you will have to stick to that driver instead (which isn't so big of an issue in my opinion though).

I think the official Microsoft driver isn't ready yet, will be available in the next Windows 8.1 update coming this summer.

I have a wired 360 controller and its been great for me in the 2+ years I've been using it for PC gaming. But, I just ordered an Xbox One controller. Its getting great reviews. There's no reason to worry, if it supports the 360 controller, it will support the One.

The one difference is you can probably find a 360 controller much cheaper.

I have used the Xbox 360 controller since it was compatible with PC, and now that I have gotten used to the Xbox One, I just find the X360 very very outdated and clumsy and hard to use. So yeah, that's another good review on my part towards the Xbox One controller :)

Has it arrived yet or waiting for it?

I've just got XBox One controller last week. It's pretty good, but overall it's not THAT better than Xbox 360 one.

The ergonomics are good, the material is really nice, THE D-PAD IS FINALLY FUCKING USABLE.

On the downside, while overall ergonomic-wise it is great, I find that, because of the angle you wrists are at the optimal palm grip, it's less comfortable while lying on the coach or sitting settled back.

Also, not having wireless option kinda sucks (you need to connect it to your PC via USB-MicroUSB cable), hopefully they will release the wireless receiver eventually.

As for games compatibility, it works just fine, and obviouly MS will make sure it will stay supported.

Somebody tried to connect it wireless with the Xbox360 adapter? (I have no idea if that works)

Seems like that would be to logical for Microsoft, probably doesn't work.

The Xbox One controllers currently are selling focusing on console gamers, even if they work wired on PC, Microsoft still didn't decided what to do with wireless on PC, just a software update for the 360 adapter or making ppl buy a new adapter, which will be bad. I will better wait for it to be focused to PC gamers too, so they can sell you all you need in one.

Xbox One controllers use a form of Wi-Fi Direct, the adapter for the Xbox 360 wireless controllers uses Infrared... so it is just impossible such thing would be possible I am afraid.

Xbone controller is an improved version of the 360, but it cost 50€ + you need to buy a 2-3m cable Micro USB to USB it cost like 3-4€, or you can use the smartphone cable instead, but they're short usually, just 1m. I would say it not really worth's spending almost twice the money, better buy a 360 wired controller, the official Microsoft one, that cost less than 30€.

"p.s. do actually new games support xbone controller? or not yet? im just not informed about these things" You just don't understand how it works, it doesn't depend on the game it depends on Windows/Microsoft itself, all the games that support controllers on PC will support Xbox One/360, no matter if new or old.

Not sure if this was brought up, if so, I must have missed it, but my only problem using my Xbox One controller, it doesn't currently accept the headset plugged into it. Now, this shouldn't be a problem for most PC gamers, since we all usually have a PC headset. Mine broke a while back and just haven't had a chance to pick up a new one. Because of this, I tend to use the Xbox One controller if I am playing a single player game and my Xbox 360 controller with the headset when playing multiplayer.
