Is legal to give away something to someone just for good feeling or because you have an extra copy? I think it is absolutely OK to make someone happy. Or not?

Steamgifts is a shell company for a group of individuals trying to get rid of their "assets"/games, so basically we are like the banks on Wall Street except we launder games, not money.

Actually we are laundering money, since games are money.

Run before the GNPD (Gabe Newell Police Department) catches you!

Everyone is wrong here. Clearly steamgifts is a massive money laundering scheme. Criminals buy games and "give them away" as a smokescreen to blind the IRS to their real income.

It is completely legal, the login even goes through steam where the site never even gets access to your details.

But don't expect lots, most things have 1,000+ bidding on them. You see some praising how they have won 50+ things on here while I personally have been bidding every day since I started and never won a thing, so YMMV. Good place overall though as far as I can tell.

"I personally have been bidding every day since I started and never won a thing"

You registered 4 days ago. Patience, grasshopper.

"Bidding"? Umm... They're giveaways, not auctions. You're not spending anything.

Also, you've entered 75 giveaways in a few days' time. I assume those were all public giveaways with hundreds - thousands of entries each. What do you expect, magic? Do you understand the concept of "odds"?

Look at my stats...patience,not expecting anything, the element of surprise and more patience are the keys for this.

You are not going to win anything in 4 days with only 75 entries unless you're overwhelmingly lucky.

It's not. The Steam Police has come to my house several times, and I was in Valve's jail 3 times already.

And you know what they say...

Steamgifts is just a venue for users like you to participate in giveaways made by other users. How these users will gift it to you will affect the total legality of it. Most of the time, there would be no consequence as you either 'lose' or the gifter uses a humble/gift link, a key or preexisting gift in their library to gift the game. However, if a player buys a game for you and does a chargeback, it becomes your problem, though it is still not illegal.

All in all, the usage of this site will not land you onto any negative repercussions.
