Creepypasta games, episode 34.
thanks a lot, gonna buy this one too! I see some indie reviews to write here XD

Cheers shakti for the chart but its not a bundle I can see myself buying. NoNo indeed :-)

Ironically, i won the game on SG and activated and like everyone else is having issues with it. LOL!

It seems that everyone's key was revoked. The dev is deleting all threads about it. This one is still up:

It had been so long since I last saw that annoying "ACCOUNT ALERT" message...
Comment has been collapsed.
Back in the day 2016/2018 Gogobundle and OtakuBundle seemed an ok bundle site.
The important thing here is that if devs want, they can remove all the games we have in our accounts (except the ones bought via Steam) and we have no say on the matter.
Comment has been collapsed.
Which is why I rarely use bundles since this started happening.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not about shittybundle sites, it's about this:
Same. I don't understand why Steam doesn't set a maximum time period after which a game can't be revoked. If a game was activated 4 years ago, a developer revoking it can only be a scam
It's from a comment from the Steam discussion.
Comment has been collapsed.
Knows what is the worst? The dev won't win nothing but hate for it. Isn't like the money of people would go back to him
Comment has been collapsed.
I feel it's not that difficult to do things the right way.
Post a public announcement about what's the problem and explain everything (according to that troll user -probably the dev himself-, he wasn't paid, he sued them and after 5 years of litigation things could not be solved legally). Also set a date for the revocation of the game due to the problem explained before, and clearly announce it.
Revoke the game and leave the game at its original price (0,79€), do not increase the price to 4,99€ just before doing so.
Announce a special sale, at the maximum discount you can offer for a limited time, so people can buy your game again as cheaply as possible, if they want to do so.
If a developer would explain to me that a bundle site scammed him and that he wasn't paid, keep me informed about everything, including his intention of revoking the keys obtained from that bundle site, and a revocation date, but giving the option to buy the game again for cheap as a sort of "compensation", I might even buy it again "legally" on Steam.
I'm sure that if this dev would have acted like that, hate would have not been this big, plus he probably would have make more profit than what OtakuMaker was supposed to pay him (maximum sale price should be around 0,22€ I think, Otaku probably paid a lot less than that).
Comment has been collapsed.
The answer is simple. Complain to Steam. Complain to your country's consumer protection agencies about both Steam's practice of removing legitimately paid for keys and complain about this developer.
I believe Europe has better protections for this sort of abuse than the U.S. and this sort of fraudulent transaction can result in serious fines.
The Dev made a deal with Otaku...he has no right to punish the consumers over his mistake for not getting paid first...
Comment has been collapsed.
That is correct about Europe. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I do not have the game to file a complaint, but regardless of that, that kind of such a jackass move after all these years makes me concerned and angry! What will happen if others adopt such practices in the future? It's so freaking unfair for the customers to be treated like that...
Comment has been collapsed.
In theory the EU should be well equipped to handle consumer rights but they usually go soft on big business. Like when the EU accused Steam of violating their antitrust rules - Vakve simply did not care or cooperate with the investigation. For this they paid a small extra fine, which was probably not even a day‘s profit for them and simply went on.
Comment has been collapsed.
Best in this is that they don't give a shit - Valve got no cash from generated keys. I even asked support and all I got was information to ask publisher since he revoked keys. Until Valve don't block revoking old keys, we can get to situation when even bought from HB or GMG will be revoked after 10 years due to license issues or publisher bad day... GOG is looking much better in that light... at least you can get an offline installer.
Comment has been collapsed.
I doubt SteamGround is an official reseller of Hare. It's much more likely they resell bundled keys for profit.

Is anyone else getting redirects and popups for extension installs from this site? Looks sketchy to me.
Comment has been collapsed.
@Dev or someone. Can you remove this thread that has been necroed up to the top. The link leads to a web page that tries to get you to install an add on to your browser. Someone is going to get tricked and probably add malware to their computer.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey sensualshakti, could you please remove the link to otakubundle dot com at the top of your post?
The dead site appears to be serving malware now and this thread has been bumped due to the revocation.
Comment has been collapsed.
I updated it to http://web.archive.org/web/20181022092756/https://otakubundle.com/latest/bundles/otakubundle-34 which has a snapshot of the bundle page - at least this way people can see the contents. If this is still not ok, I will completely remove it, as you requested.

5 years after....yeah re rewoke keys...sucker!
And the price from 0.99€ to 4.99€

Bump. Steam discussion closed by a Valve mod. They should care more about enforcing things like not allowing a developer to revoke a redeemed key after a certain amount of time (i.e. 2 years, but certainly not 5).
Good job, Valve.

That link points to nothing.

On the right, Off-Topic discussions, it says -18 for me?
Lol does that mean the dev deleted 21 threads, since only 3 remain?

All threads deleted, there's only one from the developer, "Announcement About Revoked Hare Keys" :/

Everyone that has posted on the Hare forum is subject, or will be, banned for any comment. People, including myself, have been banned for petty things, some people have been banned for simply asking why. So be careful, those developers ARE SCAMMERS and attempting to hide (delete) the truth.
The developer deleted 17 posts in hare and 12 posts in Drawgaem which is their other game. Both forums are subject to bans if anything is posted about key revocations.
Comment has been collapsed.
Should raise that to Valve support to show them that this developer is toxic. Seems excessive for the question asked.
Comment has been collapsed.
already have support in talk. because of that ban i have now community privileg ban.
because of these stupidscammer devs and steam support support that.
had 3 tickets with 5 different steam support worker and 3 different opinions (1 unlifted the ban in an instant, 1 said he will not, and 1 i could argue to unlift it.)
Comment has been collapsed.
It probably didn't help that you were using an alt account to spam and reply and insult everyone in all the discussion threads calling them "stoopid" for days, unless we are to believe that GraVe23723 isn't your alt...
Besides the fact that GraVe23723 admitted being an alt because he "didn't want his main banned".
Comment has been collapsed.
thats the fact, i didnt posted with my main account ;-)
just because of the QUESTION how to proof he banned me :)
and to be honest, this guy(dev) dont know who is who, he deleted all comments, all threads and banned over the half of all posters :)
should i post another time wit another account?
btw: grave23723 was banned because of DOXXING, because i posted a Link to the Review of his own game where he repsonded ! just saying :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Same here.
And this is how Steam support won't help you.
This community hub ban was issued by the developer's moderation staff.
Developers follow the Global Rules & Guidelines, but they may also have specific rules regarding what content is acceptable in their game hub.
We won't be reversing their decision, so we recommend contacting their support team for further information and to appeal.
If you have other questions, let us know.

got another one:
[quote]
We encourage developers to use extreme caution when moderating their communities, especially when considering bans.
Not being careful in this regard will lead to anger, decreased confidence in the product and ultimately can be detrimental to the success of the game.
Some of that information is here:
https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/community_moderation
With that said, we give devs control over their own hub, including discussions and user-created content.

This happened to me too. There was one user standing up for everyone, who was clearly a shill: either the developer on another account or one of their friends. The dev banned everyone who commented. I mentioned something in the discussion for his new game and was banned from there as well. Because that counted as two bans (I've never even had one in 17 years), I couldn't participate in community stuff for 24 hours because of this shyster who is stealing people's legally-purchased keys.
I've reported the dev to Steam support...no answer on that one. I opened a ticket with support about my ban, asking to have my record expunged and again alerting them to the toxic dev. They've agreed to leave the ticket open so that we can communicate, but haven't taken any action yet.
Comment has been collapsed.
steam support will answer:
no one tells you what rules theses devs have ;-)
they get paid by them (not only this one all others also) so they do nothing against these scammer/liars :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, they're really choosing to not stand up for the community. It's pretty disappointing.
Comment has been collapsed.
Valve discussions are abused by devs. Valve is one big abuse really. WTF I collect steam games. I must be mental. Oh yeah that's it.
My 2 hare keys have been stolen back as well.
Comment has been collapsed.
All those positive reviews are friends of the other developer, tio_jolo.
Comment has been collapsed.
Quite interesting. So you have 3 lifetime comments here on Steamgifts...no giveaways and no games won...
Somehow have played Hare on April 14. And all 3 comments are in defense of the game and developer. Could you be one of those "friends of the developer" perchance?
Comment has been collapsed.
No shit sherlock, i was just asking what is the problem that the review its from developer friends.
They are not fake, we were waiting the new big update. I am not trying to hide nothing.
Comment has been collapsed.
Something called favouritism, helping a friend out, been biased, review fraud? You would leave a negative review if the game was (is) actually crappy? Go on you take your pick.
Why do you have an account here anyway without entering giveaways and 5 comments, just trying to defend this friend?
Comment has been collapsed.
I didn't know this site existed, it looks like a cool site.
Everyone is free to write their review on the game they want, regardless of whether they know the developer or not.
Comment has been collapsed.
Notice that all those new positive reviews are from friends of the partner developer, tio_jolo.
Can we say, Review Fraud? Anyways, I cannot report it because Steam denies to listen.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, this dev is a liar and a scammer. You're not going to get anything from them. Best thing to do is report the dev, then report the game. The more evidence Steam support has for this, the better the (slim) chances are that they may actually do something.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, I did that before already.
2 weeks gone, not only no replacement yet, but not even an answer. Apparently he sent a replacement key to another buyer and apologized for delay, because he wouldn't get enough keys from Steam, but that should be sent to all requestors or they should update the announcement.
