This is a neat idea my 2 problems with it would be
Both of our ideas are to help people who REALLY want a game have a better chance, but in this scenario for example if someone wants to giveaway Dead Island anyone with 50p can still enter which doesn't prevent the people who enter for games they are barely interested in. My idea makes it harder for those type of people to enter
I think my idea is better for gifters because they get to choose what the value of their game is, thus leading to more gifting and preventing people who just enter because they have enough points

Rarely do I post, and rarely do I speak out. But I must confess, I feel that I should say something on the idea of points.
It currently stands that:
To enter any given giveaway costs X points
an account earns points at 10% of X's give-away value, rounded up when the giveaway is created
accounts can max out at 300 points.
currently a person can enter a drawing at most once per giveaway.
While many people want to change one of the first 3, I believe that steamgifts should reconsider the 4th idea.
As it stands, a player can only enter a contest once. Understandable. I have no problems with it as is. My idea would make it possible for people who would like to increase their chances of winning a contest by no more than 3x. How so?
As it stand the most expensive item that is feasibly given away is 100p, and that is the Valve Complete Pack (yes, there are others, but they are very rare). I propose that every time a user would like to enter past the first time the cost of the entry double.
Why double? This would make it so that people who really want to either use up their points can or those who really would fancy the game have a better chance, at a cost.
As an example, let's talk about Counter-Strike: Source. Currently, it is work 20p. Under my proposed system, the first entry would be 20p, as it currently is. The second entry would be 40p. The 3rd would be 80p. You are then capped at your third entry. Now, as I can only enter with 1 account (as per the rules of steamgifts), this system forces me to reconsider applying for this game the 2nd and 3rd time. This would effectively increase the average cost for a user when signing up for a contest. The first entry is valued at X, the second at 2X, and the third at 4X. The average is Y, 1.5Y, and 2.33Y respectively.
One problem I can see with this is a massive amount of fake-spamming, since now a normal cost for some of these things becomes quite high, easily reaching 50+ for a single entry, many times reaching 100+ for all 3.
And the highest maximum point value this can work with currently is 75 -- 75*2=150, so if a user applied twice they are out 225. They then have to wait for another 225 to 300 points are earned, making the worth of the 3rd entry to that person quite high.
