Random friend invites

I got one yesterday from somebody claiming we'd "played recently" and wanted me to look at a screenshot of us.

Problem? I don't play multiplayer games. It was an obvious scam, probably hiding an account jack or virus in the link.

I usually get random invites whenever I bump my trades on tf2op - but I ignore every invite below level 5, unless the user left a message in the trade.

anyway, as long as you use common sense and don't click every link, you'll be fine =)

I got 2 today from level 0 private accounts.
One's name was [unassigned] and had an anime avatar. They aren't even trying anymore.

I get a lot especially when I'm ingame, and I don't trade much (even less recently). ^^

i got 1 per day usally..or more sometimes...mostly level 0 account and withoput game or only with a few free games on it...Ignore and u be happy

I keep getting weird invites (like once a day).
In my case, they never make any contact after I accept their invites. Maybe they just want people with high levels on their friend list?

If u register on some sites with your steam account, like this site for example random people will add u. They will sometimes ask u to trade en provide a link in which u hace to sign in. Don't do this or u will lose your account.

Hmmm, never got one of those. I guess there are positive sides in not having many games XD

I haven't posted on strades or advertised a trade in over a year, so I've only gotten like 1 or 2 random invites the entire year until this week. Suddenly I got 2 level 1 [unassigned] guys adding me within a day.

yes, but not only from low lvl accounts ^.^

I get them quite often, I just ignore them.

Got'em too. But today this user "Kate Robin" added me on facebook pretending that I won like 300$ and that she needs my steam offer link to send them, such fail, her facebook account was even made today XD
