Looking for a small & light, high performance laptop.

Can't really find anything. My budget price is UNLIMITED and I will need to use it for graphical softwares such as autodesk maya blah blah.

Help please.

graphical software? such as adobe photoshop right? any thing like video editing as well? any gaming involved?
if your price in unlimited i dont really see a problem with not finding something, whats turning you away from say a 800-1000$ laptop?

Edit

My current specs on my laptop are:

HP Pavillion G6 15.6'

AMD A6-3400M (1.4ghz qaud core OC 2.3ghz)

AMD 6520G (512 VRAM, pretty nice for moderate gaming, can run supcom 2 on high and BFBC2 Med-high)

4GB ram soon to be upgraded to its max 8gb (for my video editing as i'm pretty sure i'm going to get into Film Production)

500GB hard drive

Window 7 Premium 64-bit

Runs Photoshop CS5 just dandy and gamings pretty good, not the best

Yup also for gaming too. I heard bad stories about HP though. Are these rumours true?

I have been using a 17' HP Envy. Worst laptop ever. It had awesome specs, but overheating was a huge issue.

like tchoob said heating is a big concern on an HP mines no different, then again for me i tend to run games that push my graphics card to the limit if not more, if gaming is not your priority then the HP is just fine. If it is then find something else or make sure you have some pretty good ventilation when you play. i have a leather covered desk in my room so its not the best surface to play on

Didnt they shut down support on hardware now?

i actually have no idea about that. I know my laptop has a warranty still since i got it last christmas. but thats going to expire on christmas lol do you know when they shut it down? or have you just heard of this? cause that would sound like a really bad decision, as it would turn away customers. HP's the worst out there, i like my HP Laptop and i have a monitor too. I hear more stuff about ACERS then HPs

EDIT
Anyone know anything about ASUS laptops?

Small+Light & Performance is impossible! If you want a powerful PC, you need a desktop. Power = Heat.

PC's are powerful but portables can be just as, and with proper cooling aren't a problem. its just the portability comes at a price, but his budget is unlimited according to him, so we can disregard that

I already have a powerful PC. I need a powerful portable now so i can take it anywhere. If not very small but whats the smallest and lightest I could get is sufficient.

Maybe Razer Blade? For its size it has nice specks or you might check out some of Clevo laptops.

I actually thought you was being sarcastic with the razor blade comment. Anyway, thanks. I will look into this.

Razer Blade is a bit expensive but its weight is unmatched... It is a kickass product and is optomised for gaming but should work for your software quite fine too. Only 500 GB HDD though. But runs a SSD for your boot too. http://www.razerzone.com/store/choose/razer-blade

Right now I handle all my design and coding off a Samsung Series 9, 13.3" laptop. Works well for all the Photoshop and Maya work I throw at it. Obviously you're trading some performance for portability. Specs: 1.7GHz, 4GB ram, 128GB SSD, 2.5lbs, 1600x900.

Edit: I haven't tried any games yet, but I have low expectations there.

Thanks cg. Will definitely look into this and yeah, I will be also using photoshop and all graphic related softwares as I need it for uni. I don't mind a little weight on laptops but, i'd hate to carry a heavy laptop around every day. :/

For the gaming side, I'd prolly have to use my PC. But, laptop will mainly be for work. :)

small, light and high performance in one portable package does not exist. You need to wait a few years for that.

Question is how small and how light? From there it's just finnding the best spec...

Personaly I went for UX32VD-R4002 for light and small and full HD display... Power is relative...
