Spyro is $40 in the US, but that is still a crazy price. I would like to play it as well, but wouldn't pay a small fraction of that. I still have my PS2 and would rather buy a used copy for cheap, but unfortunately I think this release has also made the original Playstation copies go up in price. I haven't played it since the days when renting games was popular.

According to google, 40 US dollars is 52.67 Canadian, so you are getting a deal :)

They do not change based on currency fluctuation, when out dollar is 1 to 1 we pay 50, when it's 1 to .7 we still pay 50. We pay 80$ for 60$ games ALL the time, so not really, we don't always get a deal. And considering our standard of living is not like that of say Switzerland or Japan, we don't really get a deal when you consider what portion of the average salary that is compared to what 40 is to the average American.
but that's a completely different rant lol

That blows, we need better consumer protection agencies. Do you think commonwealth and former commonwealth countries just need to grow a spine in those areas to stop the public getting taken in?

our minister under whom consumer protection agencies operate is a gutless slug lol

i feel the same about ffxii zodiac age. granted it is an hd remaster with a little added content.. but $50?? i feel only hardcore fans or people with money to burn can buy these games. i already beat it and thoroughly enjoyed it, and would like to play it again.. but i think $20, maybe $30 sounds more reasonable. a $50 replay isn't worth it in my opinion.

that's why I feel like I'd only really buy it on a sale.
I kind of want the FF7 and 8 remakes too, but lets be real Square has never had good sales on their FF titles and they sure as hell won't have that anytime soon on "new" releases. Also some of their pricing is way less reasonable than the spyro game, like $44 for this sub par junk...

$20 for the ff8 remaster isn't too bad i suppose, although it has mixed reviews and really doesn't seem much different from the original steam release. i'm also kinda bummed that current owners of ff8 didn't get a free copy of the remaster, like what 2k did with bioshock. not mad or anything, just kinda sucks paying twice for basically the exact same game.
ff7 though is a whole other story. it's a remake, not remaster.. much like the recent resident evil 2 remake. i had no problem paying "full price" (i actually snagged it on sale through fanatical) because it's rebuilt from the ground up and plays completely different from the original. these are remakes of straight up masterpieces that were a big part of me when i was a kid. i don't even own a ps4 but i'm gonna try to pick one up on sale this holiday so i can play ff7, not to mention the handful of other console/ps4 exclusives like rdr2, death stranding, god of war and the last of us 2. gonna end it here, i'm starting to ramble on now lol.

I already have the original ff8 and it's a very sad port, I don't think the remake is worth 25$ if they didn't improve the real issues such as the music, controls, visuals etc. those are basics... And it's got to hurt when you have to site 2K, to show how marketing is done better... 2K that didn't even bother updating the start icon of their latest 80$ money grab from 19 to 20, and want you to be playing slots instead of a sport in a sports game did a better job on something than square? >.> I'll just let you consider that for a moment lol
As for ff7, I do realize that's a lot of work from the ground up, but I should just point out you might be expecting too much to find it on sale during the holidays, Square do not like to place ANY ff games on sale if they can help it. At least not for the first year or two of their existence

oh yeah square is horrible about putting their games on sale. you're right it could take one or two years, if at all. ff7 isn't released until march of next year though iirc. i meant getting a ps4 on sale, not ff7. maybe i can get lucky and even find one with a good game bundled.

oh for sure, cyber monday might good for that sort of purchase

Add me on steam and I will give you the link directly there when you're online.
Thank you for letting me know. I just checked the jigidi, and it does have the link but there's occasionally an error it does not show up for some people. If others have the same issue as you, I will redo the puzzle tomorrow and just go from there, but if not, then the issue was limited and just giving you the link should be enough

hopefully there will be some you don't own in the next batch

Bah don't worry about it. I love the Jigis. Entering GAs after one is just like capturing the flag, it's a marker and a cherry on top but not necessary. Besides, with aaaaall the Jigis I've solved since I've been here, I have yet to win a single GA and believe me, some of these had very few entries lol
I'm bound to win one but it really isn't my main motivator. Thanks for keeping me fed in Jigis.

Boop or bump? Bump or boop? Hard to answer but there's nothing to lose - we only need to choose!
Maybe jump a hoop but never ever dump a greenish fruit! :D
Thanks again for your mercy. The jigi for the game I'm interested in is fortunately the easiest of all. <3 I still suck at jigis and rhymes too :p xD

RimWorld is on top of my wishlist. Close by Kerbal Space Program and Bomber Crew. Very interested in incoming Burden of Command as well.

I'm a sucker for turnbased games, I even enjoyed Jagged Alliance when it was first released by Sirtech
I am not great with simulations though :p

Actually, in my turn-based history I could go 10 years earlier than this, to early SSI games like Battle for Normandy, Fighter Command: The Battle of Britain; Germany '95, Gettysburg: The Turning Point and Operation Market Garden, to name the most memorable. Following Gary Grigsby and Norm Koger since then ;)
But, yes, UFO: Enemy Unknown and Jagged Alliance were the big game changers in mid 90-ties.

There's a lot of turnbased games I never played, I wish I had the time for them all lol
some of the hardest were japanese games I played on emulators though :p wish I could remember them all, that was so long ago
