Well as a base idea it could be a good movie, but i think there are some gaps that would really need to be filled in. More sad about actually that in the end it was hinting there could have been a sequel that never came.
A Tv series might work better, like you had in the 70-90's, like V, Earth: Final Conflict, i miss those series about aliens, instead of zombies and magic, heroes etc what we got now. :/
