I have keys which I intend to use, however am waiting for a moment where I really want to play that game or whatever opportunity might arise while I don't wanna use it. It often happens that I see such a game being given away. This creates a small dilema, as one could enter the GA in which case I'd get the key/game straight away, and then I could use my own key either for trading or another GA. I do feel however, that this is exploiting the system and comparable to re-gifting.

What do you think?

Btw, as far as I know the Polls are anonymous (as in no one can see who voted what) so you can be honest there.

i remember doing that once or twice, when i was new here (like 2 years ago). but at least i did a giveaway with my own copy then. today, i wouldn't do such a thing anymore. just doesn't seem right.

Seeing as how I regularly give away games I don't own but would like to own, I fall into the category of "entering giveaways for games for which you have the gift/key." That is because I give to others what I would like for myself (or just received). Of course, my intention when buying the games is to give them away, not keep them, but there's no way for anyone to know that except me, is there?

There are some giveaways with limited entries where I have a good chance of winning a game i want, but I often pass on those for the same reason given above. I put myself second.

Depends I guess. Lately I've been going "Created giveaways first" priority, so if I have a key, I create the GA for it, and then try for my chance, if I will ever win it from another GA. Second supersitition is when the game is within my wishlist in top 10. Then I'd just install the key firsthand, and then try to get a second for giveaway.

For your case, if I ever was so patient in waiting to win a GA where I could also instantly upload my key, I'd probably think is as a gift exchange, well, for a normal circle it sounds like someone is left out. But yeah, it's something complicated, but I'd probably go with my first two options above.
