How do you organize your library?

From the top to the bottom, with French interface :

Mes favoris : Games I'm playing/I will play soon. All installed.
A voir : Games I'll probably play one day, depending on my motivation/time. Will move to Mes favoris or Trash Can.
En pause : Games I've started then paused because they were meh or I got more interesting to play. Will move to Mes favoris or Trash Can. All installed.
Hors Steam : Origin/Uplay/DVD/cracked games added to my library.
Saga Deus Ex, Saga Hitman, Saga etc : When I've 3 or more games of the same franchise. I could do that for 2 games or more, but meh.
Terminé : Finished games, with or without achievements completion.
Trash Can : Crappy games I've added like a no brain or for cards.

The good games are on the top of the list with that order.

i have a tab called randomstuff
whenever theres more of the same genre i open another tab wit said genre
works fine with me
obviously i have a backlog and a junk one

By genre, as i determine (might not match other people's dedefinitions)
But if a series is too big, like Total War or Half-Life), it might have it's own category

I considered doing it by genre, but there are too many fringe cases, so currently, it's just:
Finished (for games that I've finished, duh ;) )
Garbage (For games that I deem to be garbage)
Multiplayer (For games where the main draw is multiplayer)
Uncategorized (For everything else)

-Favorites for games I'm currently playing, won games, games I've been given etc.
-A category for games that were good but I'm probably not gonna play again.
-A category for games that were good and I might play again.
-A category for games that were great and I will play again.
-Multiplayer category
-I hide all games I wasn't interested in and I'm most likely not going to play.
-The default "games" category for everything else.

I used to do by franchise but I had too many so it started acting funky. Now I have installed (including favorites), favorites that are all installed, and uninstalled

I put the few games I'm currently playing (and the few f2p MMOs I play quite often) in favorites, up to 8-10 games. Everything else, I leave as is. If I need the game I do a quick-search by typing the first 2-3 characters of its name.

-Total War
-WarHammer 40000
-The rest, won by gleam or pages like this.

I used to categorize by genre, until I became annoyed when I wasn't sure what to label certain games as.

Now, I somewhat categorize like this... (It may seem silly to some, but hey, it works for me.)

1. In Progress (Games I've started and hope to finish... also games I play that don't have an ending.)
2. Soon (I plan to start these after I'm finished with "In Progress"... sometimes when I'm bored, I'll pick through these for something to add to #1.)
3. Eventually (Not interested in playing these right now, but I'll eventually get around to it.)
4. Unsure (Mainly games from bundles that I activated for cards, or just for the hell of it. Not necessarily bad games... I'm just not that interested.)
5. Completed (Self-explanatory.)
6. Achievements
7. Co-Op/Multiplayer
8. Scheiße (Poo games. I should just get rid of this one... permanently delete the games or hide them.)

Some games in multiple categories (there's a few in both Humblebundle and New Humbles for example), some categories could stand to be condensed, but on the whole it works for me...

I don't, alphabetical order seems to be the best.

Non-expanded - for games where i have both normal and an expanded version. won't need both titan quest and titan quest immortal throne
Unwanted - for games i've gotten through random keydrops or forcibly have in my library courtesy of valve... like dota 2
Won't Finish - games i started but won't finish. lots of reasons but they deserved their own section
Won't Play - games i know i'll never actually get around to playing, either due to quality or genre, or it being a beta version of a full game i have

Admittedly the Games section is still a bit unsorted, but it's not that bad once i sort out the others, since then most of them are actually games i could see myself playing some time.

still waiting for steam to implement sub categories and i think there is still a limit of how many sorting steam can store before the file containing these information gets too large for the steam cloud and never gets updated anymore.
