I'm in the same boat as you, Quisty. It seems like every game I buy for myself becomes forgotten in the sea of never-ending backlog. Any game that I win goes straight to the top.
My most played game is Spelunky.
Incredibly difficult game to play, so most people give up without getting very far.
I tend to be a bit masochistic so I usually like difficult games.
Won this game from Sir Tubberware 10 months ago, but didn't get around to it until a few months ago (shame on me).
It got bundled recently and that's when I decided to pick it up. The game is pure genius. I couldn't stop playing it.
71 hours to 100% the game, and each of the 20 achievements are a pretty big challenge in itself.
Haven't uninstalled it yet either, I can see myself playing it again and again.

It just so happens I'm currently playing my most played SG win: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
So far 33hours and it was wishlisted. In fact 3 out 4 of my most played wins were wishlisted.

I couldn't leave it to chance. Had to buy both Danganronpa games. Sold my cards just for that purpose. I finished the first one and I'm currently playing the sequel. Love it! :)

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
28 hrs. Not even 50% completed yet. I just don't have time to play it :(
Definitely will finish it.

Civ 5 Complete, 59 hours on record, with Batman Arkham Asylum in 2nd place with 23h, and Verdun in 3rd place with 21h(I'd play it still, but after they transitioned to Unity 5, the game lags too much, I have 15fps max on lowest settings :( Since it's multiplayer game, it's unplayable this way).

Sentinel 4: Dark Star. 21 hours (and almost all of the achievements). Surprisingly fun game.

I really liked both parts of Grimrock. You may want to check this game:

When I saw it for the first time, I was pretty sure it was done by the same studio (but it wasn't).
Another similar from my wishlist:

The first one was in fact so similar that the devs of Grimrock contacted the devs of that game regarding it.
Gameplay is quite different though (personally I did not enjoy The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians, it got repetitive quite fast).
If you want something that in terms of gameplay is close to Grimrock, check out Eye of the Beholder and Lands of Lore 1

I'm just curious, was it a game you had wishlisted or something that just looked interesting and discovered through this site.
In my case it was The Binding of Isaac, I probably wouldn't have bought it for myself (or if I did it would rot in my library), I wanted to know what all the fuss was about that game. 400+ hours later I got all the achievements
