Had to check as I wasn't completely sure. But it wasn't even close. It was Deadly Premonition with 42 hours. It looked interesting but I feared that it would be terribl broken so I tried to win it instead of buying. Also it was in a lot of bundles which made it more likely that I could win it here.
And yes, it is a broken mess from technical side which is a shame because the actual game is a lot of fun. Has the charme of a B-movie and goes from mysterious to strange to crazy. I didn't like part of the ending too much but the overall gameplay is enjoyable (if you get and keep the game running).

While playing this my old graphic card got destroyed. And it was not very old when that happened. Dunno if it was caused to the bad programming of the game but since then I'm kinda afraid to give the game another chance. Wich is a pitty since I really enjoyed playing it.

From what I have seen it is more crashing or not even starting than anything else. Also some kind of strange phenomen that the fps drops the longer you play. Had no trouble with the heating. But I wouldn't be too surprised if the game could even achieve this.

My most played steamgift win is Might & Magic: Heroes VI.
More recently I've won Enter the Gungeon and I already played a lot. This game is really good, If you liked The Binding of Isaac, you should try this one.

Oh yes! I too was pleasantly surprised, and played it for 9 hours... I'd still be playing it if my Antivirus hadn't suddenly decided that it was "infected." I could re-install, but I decided to concentrate on my backlog and come back to Grow Home again later ^__^

Town of Salem with 144 hours (+ some hours on browser). It wasn't wishlisted, because I have heard a lot of talk about cheaters and leavers and thus was put off. Haven't even tried it on browser before getting it on steam. It was the memory of playing the werewolfs in real life and the nostalgia I felt for that that made me enter those giveaways when there were plenty due to it being bundled for the second time.

Hehe, Town of Salem is great :) I played it before getting it on Steam (in the bundle). So now I have 88 hours + that browser version hours

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas. Logged 41 hours to 100% it, although some of those hours were during initial card idling and pulling kids off of each other. ;-)
It is probably my son's favorite game to date; he almost cried when I told him the game was over and we didn't need to play it anymore. He calls it "the boy who breaks jars."
STAR WARS Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, which is at number 2 with 29 hours, is probably his second-favorite game.

Yeah, lots of hate towards it for some reason, but I loooved the game. Only played it twice, gonna play it a third time with my new GPU when I get around to downloading it again. :P

Puzzler World 2, 20 hours.
I like solving puzzles so I had fun with that game. Even after 20 hours I was nowhere near as done as it has huge amount of puzzles (probably around a thousand if not more). Funny thing is that I got the giveaway link for this game after solving a puzzle on SG. I wont be playing it anymore though, especially since I don't have the save file anymore (damned be games without steam cloud).

I guess shadow of mordor, but it's relative, some games are short and I don't like to replay stuff, so...

Yep, they're the ones with the most hours played between all my steamgifts wins.

I'm just curious, was it a game you had wishlisted or something that just looked interesting and discovered through this site.
In my case it was The Binding of Isaac, I probably wouldn't have bought it for myself (or if I did it would rot in my library), I wanted to know what all the fuss was about that game. 400+ hours later I got all the achievements
