I did my first giveaway 2 days ago (i´m poor so i can´t afford to many games) after giveaway end i add the winner on steam
and put a comment on he/she profile saying he/she his the winner to accept my friend request to send the gift,
he/she didn´t accept my FR so i sent the gift by email and he/she instantly accept the game and didn´t thank me!
At least he/she could have put a comment in my profile to say a simple "ty"...

This ever happened with you? How do you feel about this ?

Ps: i don´t care people spamming Thanks on giveaways but at least if you win you could say a simple thanks
to the person who made the giveaway

Ps2: sry for my bad english its no my first language xD

I don't see what the big deal is.

I accidentally removed someone who added me because I had won a giveaway. I typically get a lot of phishers and spammers so I didn't think any of it. Then I realized he was gifting me something. I felt like a fool.

But I do agree, that a thanks is in order if you win something.

My 2 public giveaways I sent by e-mail and had one person added me and said thanks, the other... I haven't heard from him / her at all.

Thankfully, they have both activated the game on their accounts.

I've created 11 giveaways that are now closed, and only one person ever wrote something on my steam profile... And I was surprised. Like, why is he doing this, we did not trade or something, that was done via steamgifts and thanking me there was enough... I mean, it's nice, but I did not expect that nor do I see a necessity for that kind of thanks.

I do expect people not to thank me at all, and I'm fine with that either - thanks would mean nothing at all if it was mandatory.

Nobody says thanks to me but I usually post a thank-you note on the giveaway page.

This happens quite often. There's nothing you can do about it. Is the winner at least playing the game?
