There are most definitely men that would do it if given the chance... many people would, regardless of gender. Generalization doesn't necessarily mean everyone, but it can imply that that's what is meant. It depends on what and how something is said. Generalizing is taking something that one or a few people have done or said, and applying it to a larger group... with what you said, it implies that you mean all women have something "wrong" with them because of what a single woman is doing. If you didn't want for it to be taken that way, you probably should have worded your statement better.
