So I just looked at my Steam games list, and I saw a game titled "Majesty Gold HD".

I have both games in fact, Majesty Gold and Majesty 2 (+ expansion packs) so I'm thinking this HD bit stands for High-Definition. Exciting.

Anybody else with the game on Steam have the HD too? I'm installing right now, see what turns out.

Update: well, there are a few differences. The HD version has many more quests and only two or three from its non-HD version.

Still not sure what this is all about. I'm sure it wasn't there until today.

Besides, I have two different "entries" in my list: Majesty Gold Edition and Majesty Gold HD.

I think Majesty HD is Majesty 1 and not 2

I'm still sure I did not have this entry before today. I'd have seen it already.

However what really struck me was that I could not access the store page to Majesty Gold HD from the Steam application. The website, however, had it (but it did not have Majesty: Gold Edition!).

Probably just hasn't updated for you, in the Steam client for me, Majesty: Gold Edition is replaced w/ Majesty Gold HD

I just checked my library, and it seems Majesty Gold HD was added to my library as well. It must've been added some time today because I'm 100% sure it wasn't there yesterday.

It was given free to anyone that owned it on Steam already. Though you overstate the added content. Only a couple quests were added. In general it mainly just supports higher resolutions and is less buggy on newer systems.
